Voting question

How would voting be conducted. Casting a single ballot of the
nominee of your choice or making it more interesting by having
preferential voting. Where if no one wins over 50% of all votes
cast, the nominee with the least amount of votes would be
removed from the race and there preferences giving to the next
candidate on there preferential voting card and so forth?

The Constitution only states that he, the President, shall only
be chosen by popular vote. I don't think it mentions anything
about a specific voting method, but in the past, we did voting
by first past the post.

I think we should use AV. Far better than FTPT because AV
doesn't have the problem of minority rule.

I think that the simplest way would be:
The candidate with most votes wins. End of story.
In case of a tie: A second election with only the tied
candidates.

But if we do it that way a candidate could win even though most
people didn't want him/her.

While I love AV compared to FTTP the problem is that our forums
would have a ridiculous time of trying to do all of that while
having secret ballots.

What's a tad bit more important to me is ending the elections so
we can focus on making strong inclusive RPs. We're very isolated
and it somewhat divides between older to newer players. That's
what I want to see end.

A nation that has a nominee should really not be counting votes.
Gondor is mod and not a nominee this time that makes it less
chance of election fraud.
