Colombian Diplomatic Battle Day 2
By: Columbia Confederates Date: August 22, 2015, 10:19 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Jag McCartney stepped back up in front of the capital building
once again, this time drawing a greater crowd after news of
Reich soldiers being moved near Colombian territory broke.
McCartney began by taking a sip of whiskey he had in a bottle.
"Bourbon, want some?" The crowd cheered as he took the stage.
"So, we have the fascists cumin' to our line. Probably sendin'
thousands of men, probably wantin to tear all those good men
apart. But I warned of this, look who is battlin' us who believe
in the rights of states. It's the fascists, the monarchists,
anyone who can step on state's rights by enforcin' their evils
onto us. Now as war is upon us I ask that states consider our
Ordinance of Secession, I ask that very dearly. I ask that the
people here today go to their Congressmen, their king, or
whatever they have, today and ask them to secede, and fight with
Columbia in a good man's war. We have many issues in this
nation, and it's clear with the rise of a party based in our
state...the Jefferson Party. A party that actually does the
walkin and talkin that the Antebellum claim to do. But I'm not
here to tear apart anyone from any party because the Antebellum
Party is actually on our side. We're gainin' momentum folks,
we're havin' rebels come to our nation to help fight! We're
growin' a army that can help defend this nation and we thank you
for that. I will now take any questions that you may have."

"What about Turkducken?" A dirty man from the back shouted,
"They elected their President, and their forces are on the move
as we speak!"

"We understand that, but as we currently know we have an
alliance coming after us, it's freighting. Just pray for those
brave young men fighting for Columbia, fighting for our
children's future. The turks will be handled with at the time of
their arrival." He somberly replied.

"But isn't it saying something that they support the NCSA?"

"It is sayin' somethin' it's sayin' that those on the top
support the NCSA while those just fightin' for liberty aren't
recognized as valiant. And as you know this NCSA doesn't
recognize the UCA which is why I'm gonna run for president and
try to put an end to this, try to stop this crony like
governing, and try to put forth a constitution that is actually
built like a Confederation not an aristocracy. So it is your
choice, aristocracy or confederacy."

"Big words from a state with a disproportionately high upper
class!" Heckles someone, "You speak of an aristocracy when your
plantation owners rule your State!"

"That's not true at all in fact plantation owners don't make our
decisions. There are a few Senators who are plantation owners,
not all of them, but if you look at our economic statistics sir,
the yeoman farmers, the share croppers do very well with crops
because they don't focus on cotton or sugar cane, they focus on
different things that will give them a profit like carrots or
potatoes, you name it, hell even tobacco, so no Columbia is not
an aristocracy because the plantation owners aren't running the
nation."

A Carolinian attorney yells from the front:
"The constitution of the NCSA can only be amended, not
re-written!"

"Not true, that is simply not true. I personally can't rewrite
it myself, but we can call in a joint session and replace it
with something new and better. It's flawed and it's the cause of
the havoc being done here recently."

"But first you need to become president, and to do that you need
supporters."
