Rep. von Fallersleben shared Rep. Tanaka's reservations
regarding the Namenian contingency, but hoped the
over-zealousness on the part of the Namenian guards was merely a
mark of uncouthness rather than more sinister intentions.

OOC: I don't know if this page is relevant any more as WP isn't
going to talk about why he brought this together. Unless someone
else wants to speak?

OOC: You realize that's NCSA troops, right? Junkers dispatched
guards to here.
And I believe Gondor or I will speak.
IC: The Namenian rep went and sat down in his place as the
Secretary of Defense took his seat by the President.

"I wish to speak, actually if the council will let me do so."
said Representative Henry Spoke.

OOC: Home Guard makes it sound like they were Namenian elite
forces, instead of NCSA soldiers.
IC: Rep. Tanaka shows no objections to letting Rep. Spoke have
the floor.

OOC: It's actually on the NCSA factbook page here. :P
IC: "I am completely open to what he has to say first." Ascrith
replied, and sat down.

"Thank you, good sirs. Now as most of y'all here understand" he
said while getting up into the front to speak. "There has been
some chaos in this confederacy that has caused concern. Caused
people to call us rogue, which is exactly what I would expect
from such people! And those exact same people have taken our
governor into custody! Arrested! For a revolt he didn't cause!
But a revolt I am sure he would stand for now because he surely
will see the things that have been done. He was one of the many
that stood for peace unless our grounds were invaded, and our
grounds were invaded. The man who started this war, "Foti", has
talked to us and claimed that your federal officers approached
his property! That federal officers then tried to detain him for
protecting something that is rightfully his! Not the
confederacies, not the state's. His property is his! And the
state of Columbia is ours not yours to keep. Now I demand the
release of Governor Grant Preston, and a safe return home. At
age 81, he can not be detained in a cell, treated like dirt, and
not be given a fair chance! But to all you who stand here today,
our Senate Board will not stand for any of the things y'all have
stood for. There are talks of secession. Now those talks of
secession are merely like those of talks of war. Just as we
wanted peace, but brought you war due to your actions, we will
bring you secession, even if we wish to keep this union
together. But we will not stand by and watch this nation hand
liberties and state rights over day by day!"

Baroness Honey Baroda stood from her seat.
"Can this Congress please explain why Confederal agents were
doing in Columbia. Did they have a warrant? What was their
purpose?
"Colombia Representative, did your nation invite these agents
into your state?

"No we did not, in fact our soldiers asked them to step away
from the border and step off of others properties. When they
came to close and threatened our soldiers, they fired and killed
one many before all of them were shot to death by federal
officers who clearly don't know their boundaries! So y'all don't
write us down as the villains in the history books quite yet
because I think it'll require some mirror starin' to figure that
out."

The President stood up, and walked up to his podium in front of
the Congress. He took a sip of water, and then cleared his
throat.
"First of all, let it be known that I did not order the CBI into
Colombia. They were sent there by presumably the Secretary of
Defense to investigate Colmbia's highly illegal noncompliance
with NeoConfederate law. Colombia did issue warnings, yes, but
it was clear that those were not heeded. A warrant probably
would've helped our case, but once again we we're not the ones
who broke the law first. Nullification is not a right, but a
crime. To be clear on the reason of Governor Preston's arrest,
let us look back on the meeting in Turkducken. I met with him to
discuss peace, but little did we know what had happened in
Jericho. When we found out what had happened, Turkducken
President Lance Faraday and I pleaded with Governor Preston to
stand his troops down, as they had fired the first shots.
Governor Preston did no such thing, and left, allowing this
conflict to continue, with us sending reinforcements to help get
those men out of there. Governor Preston was not arrested by us,
but by Turkducken. I believe that he should be released until
such time that a proper warrant can be found. His crime is
treason for allowing and supporting this rebellion. If Colombia
wants to secede, they will get cold lead and burning fire from
the rest of us. This union will stay together, one way or
another."
