| -12 Miles Out of Old Boise- | |
| Commander Larson and a specially selected team from the RAM and | |
| STAG divisions of the Hirilian Militia ride silently towards | |
| Camp Adams,carried in a Chinook Troop Carrier Helicopter. The | |
| Red Caps as this elite team are recalled are the force The | |
| Hirilian government sends in when it wants to make an example of | |
| whichever group or militia happens to draw the Red Caps | |
| attention. | |
| "Boys!! We'll be touching down in Camp Adams shortly, afterwards | |
| I want you a**es ready to get suited up. Larson yelled over the | |
| roar of the air passing by "Some nerds from BioSyne want to test | |
| some new equipment out, and my hands are tied so cooperate and | |
| we'll be kicking a** soon." | |
| "What do these guys want now?' questioned one of the younger | |
| members of the team | |
| Larson yelled back, giving an unknowing shrug. "No f**king idea, | |
| something about better stealth technologies or some crap. Just | |
| play along." | |
| The Chinook landed shortly and the Red Caps moved out, in the | |
| distance they could here the distant pitter patter of fire and | |
| return fire from Old Boise. The ran into the tent and found 24 | |
| boxes awaiting them, all labeled for one of the members of the | |
| team. Upon entering two people and man and women entered the | |
| tent. The man was short, prematurely balding and a bit stout for | |
| his height, the women, his assistant was unnervingly tall, and | |
| seem like something out of a Norseman's dream rather than a lab | |
| tech for the nations brightest minds. Her presence garnered | |
| whistles from some of the less experienced Red Caps. | |
| "Shut your mouths, now." stated the stout man, speaking in a | |
| voice that while calm, carried a certain power that commanded | |
| respect and often times fear. "I am Dr. Walters, head of Project | |
| Ghosts at Applied Adaptations of BioSyne. You boys will be | |
| running the first field test of our newest innovation, 'The | |
| Shroud' or G.H.O.S.T. Suit. A material developed with | |
| artificial chromatophores and cameras embedded into the fabric. | |
| Ms. Mead, will you please demonstrate?" The woman released the | |
| lab coat and revealed a fatigue like suit that was covered | |
| hexagonal fabric patches with cameras intermittent. It was pure | |
| black, but already the Caps could see the change taking place, | |
| over the course of a few seconds the fabric changed color and | |
| even its shades to match the texture of the wall of the white | |
| tent. By half a minute, it was a convincing camouflage. Larson | |
| knew that this would make them basically invisible at night. | |
| "Holy S**t" was the general consensus of the room. Not 30 | |
| minutes later the team was ready to go, having donned the new | |
| 'Shrouds' and silenced all their weapons, they knew that this | |
| was to be a stealth mission and that they were on a time table. | |
| Now the operation could begin. | |
| OPERATION 10TH PLAGUE | |
| The ride to Old Boise was silent, no one spoke as they rumbled | |
| through the abandoned country side. They were excited and | |
| terrified at the same time. Larson knew the plan. Satellite and | |
| aerial photos had shown the locations and placements The Ibex, | |
| there concentrations as well as where they would be holding | |
| captives and which areas still were under Hirilian civilian | |
| control. The Red Caps would be crossing over into the city under | |
| the cover of darkness and distraction to slaughter the targets, | |
| free hostages and pass over the homes of those civilians who | |
| still remained loyal to the Hirilian government. They were | |
| coming in as the Angel of Death and they knew it, no prisoners, | |
| no surviving Ibex, they would be made an example of and it would | |
| be done so before 48 hours were up. | |
| At 2300 the caravan halted on the other side of the river and | |
| radioed the main camp to begin the distraction. It began slowly, | |
| the camp lights of the Hirilian army began a strobe like effect, | |
| drawing the attention of The Ibex, who became frantic, believing | |
| an attack was imminent. With this the Red Caps were able to | |
| silently cross into Old Boise and begin the mission. Two teams | |
| formed after entering through a civilian backyard and through an | |
| abandoned house. Team Micheal would make its way slowly towards | |
| the head command and launch the assault, creating further chaos, | |
| while Team Uriel would go through extracting civilians they | |
| found and freeing captives along with slaughtering any Ibex they | |
| stumbled across. All was silent for half an hour, Team Uriel had | |
| cleared the first civilian house of occupants, when the assault | |
| on Ibex command began. | |
| The attack began swiftly. Within a few minutes 15 Ibex soldiers | |
| were dead from incendiary rounds sent at them to cause panic | |
| among the troops. Afterwards these were followed by RPG attacks | |
| from three sides killing far more. Having extracted the | |
| captives, Team Uriel created supporting fire upon the command, | |
| The Ibex fled, but with Hirilian military not allowing any of | |
| them out, Old Boise became an example to all who would challenge | |
| the Hirilian authority in such an brazen act. | |
