| Columbia Protects Borders | |
| By: Columbia Confederates Date: July 20, 2015, 5:48 pm | |
| --------------------------------------------------------- | |
| The Governor of Columbia, Mr. Grant Preston, has confirmed with | |
| his representatives that the state is ready to deploy its | |
| militia, air forces, and navy in order to protect Colombian | |
| borders. | |
| News has broke that Columbia has set up infantry lines on the | |
| Northern Border, in the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the Southern | |
| Plains, and the Western townships. 400,000 troops were deployed | |
| to protect the border. Columbus Air has deployed anti-aircraft | |
| guns in these regions as well as around the state's capital of | |
| Georgetown. 20 military blimps are stationed in Georgetown. The | |
| riverways, especially at Sumter Beach, are being guarded by the | |
| Columbus River Guard. This comes after news broke that a Nuclear | |
| Weapon Bill, giving the federal government authority to search a | |
| state for any nuclear deals, would be passed. | |
| Preston said: "This is not an act of declaring war. But, we must | |
| protect the rights of our state. We have brave men and women | |
| willing to fight for Columbia. We thank you for your service. | |
| Now, citizens of Columbia, we ask that you remain calm, we ask | |
| for your support and your voice, we ask you to volunteer for our | |
| cause and join our militia, or at least take up arms and defend | |
| your property, your family, your livestock, your servants." | |
| Preston continued by stating that: "We wish not to have war with | |
| you, but to have our rightful voice heard. We wish to make our | |
| laws and have our state right to nullificate unconstitutional | |
| laws." | |

| General Ernie Banks and General Ronald Santos have been brought | |
| aboard as heads of the 400,000 troops. | |

| Please show me at any point which states that we do not have the | |
| right to defend our own borders. | |

| Okay, sir, maybe you didn't realize this, but when you agreed to | |
| join the NCSA, you gave the government power over your state. | |
| That means that we can, say, police certain things. But we can't | |
| make you unsovereign, or infringe upon you. But you're making a | |
| ruckus over nothing. You can't nullify laws, because that would | |
| be the exact OPPOSITE of what you agreed to do. Why are you here | |
| if you're going to complain about how we can't make laws? Why | |
| are you participating in congress if you could just say "Meh. I | |
| don't want it."? | |

| We are a peaceful, non-rouge nation that has a right to nullify | |
| nowhere does it state in our constitution that we cannot | |
| nullificate a law. | |

| His Excellency has to concede that argument to the Columbia | |
| Confederates. However forming a central government implies a | |
| length of power. | |

| Nowhere does it say you can. You cannot nullify laws. That's in | |
| entirely against the idea of joining us. | |

| It nowhere says we are not allowed to nullificate a law just as | |
| it nowhere allows the nullification of laws. So all things not | |
| stated in the constitution are left up to the state government. | |
