Antebellum Party Conference
By: West Phoenicia Date: May 27, 2015, 11:26 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Antebellum Party Conference:
Jack Portland, the Antebellum current Party President approached
the podium at the Antebellum Party Conference.
Dressed in a sharp navy blue suit and sky blue tie, he sipped
from a glass of ice water, crushing the ice between his teeth
clearing his throat before he begun to speak.
Times are a changing, is the theme to the first Antebellum
Party Conference. We are all gathered here to make our voice
heard to make this party rise as a Phoenix from the ashes.
We are here today to unite under a banner of Conservative
Politics. To be a major power player in Congress. Today is a
think tank, as we create our vision and adopt our party
platforms. I ask everyone to suggest a number of party platforms
that express our party views. Once everyone has had a chance to
express what they want to see in our charter. Once we have all
had our say. We will than discuss what policies to embrace and
what to put on the not at this point pile.
Jack Portland eyed the other party members, Who would like to
begin?

The Antebellum Party supports nuclear disarmament. While your
nation has nuclear weapons it would be hypocritical for you to
be in leadership.

Oooc. We are not blind. You cant hide a denotation that size.
That is beyond the point. Point is you are aware we don ot
accept WMD.. Any leadership position you hold would fly in the
face of what this group opposes. And would be used as dirt at
any election for people not to trust this party.

OOC: But you do not know it was me. It was detonated over the
Atlantic Ocean. It could be Great Britain for goodness sakes.
You don't know it was me. You saw the blast but would have no
idea it was me.

The chairman of the Gallifrean TimeLords' arm of the Antebellum
Party, Tom Baker, dressed in the regal wear of the Time Lords,
asks for the floor momentarily.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, what an honor we have to step up and lead
our region in a direction that will mean prosperity for all. To
have this prosperous nation, we must hold to our values of free
enterprise, strong capitalism, family values, dominating
military, without government interference as much as possible.
We need limited government regulations that will cost companies
millions of dollars as well as jobs for our people. Less burden
on business means a stronger economy. We need less social
spending by government, with the bulk of our budget leaning
toward regional defense and criminal justice. We need the
individual nations and states to have the rights to govern as
they see fit without a large confederate government looking over
their shoulder. This also means term limits within the regional
government. We also stand for life in every stage of its
development, and marriage as God intended. As far as nuclear
arms is concerned, it may be best to lean toward governmental
oversight rather than complete disarmament. Whether we like to
admit it or not, there are enemies out there that would try to
destroy the confederacy we so dearly love, and we must be ready
to defend with whatever means necessary. From these general
principles we can mold a more specific platform, but we need the
people to see that ours is the party of truth, justice, and the
American way."
After his brief speech, Tom Baker sat down and offered jelly
babies to all around.

Antebellum Party Chairman Jack Portland rises.
I thank representative Baker on his wonderful opening speech and
ask the floor does anyone have any questions in regard to his
statement?
