That's... Technically illegal. Violates sovereignty and
basically makes a puppet state.

no a puppet state is when one gov't has theoretical control over
another. the merging of the economy is through the ideals of
David Ricardo in which competitive advantage would insure each
nation achieves the maximum economic production that it is
capable of through specializing allowing for our markets to
dominate the opposing market giving each side an advantage in
the short and long-run.

You'll basically become the Soviet Union, then, without the
government issue. Now, a shared currency like the EU is good,
but this does violate sovereignty. Imagine if I told you that
your economy now depends upon my ability to make tanks.

The idea is that Golden Coast doesn't need to produce steel
because we can get more of it at a cheaper opportunity cost
through CA. CA doesn't need to build ships as we can produce
ships at a lower opportunity cost to steel.
GC
1 steel = .25 ships
1 ship = 4 steel
CA
1 steel=.2 ships
1 ship = 5 steel
Therefore CA is giving up more steel to produce ships and GC is
losing ships to produce steel. Therefore the quickest way to
boost our economies equally is to unify the market to allow for
each state to make more growth.
This is the reason that coffee comes from South America rather
than Canada. Because one is good at producing it meaning that
they should produce it.

That's not merging. That's a treaty like NAFTA. Or the EU...

We are merging our economies though in that sense though.

So long as it's not actually assimilating economies...

violated
