With the utmost sense of responsibility and duty to the
Confederacy, believing you best serve it, the Reichsfuhrer von
der Amerikanisches Reich humbly requests admittance to this
party, provided he not be required to leave his State's local
ruling party.

What's the point of the flag ? You have a right to have wheyever
flag you like but your not representing a flag that is fictional
and playful. Your representing a symbol that has terrified and
ruined lives. Just as we see in the states people don't want the
confederate flag, your flag is not just a fun theme but a
reminder to many of the horrible issues they have had to deal
with. Listen I understand the idea of RP but do remember that
jews around the world who have had family murdered find it
wrong. Your flag is as strong as an ISIS flag

IC, it's State where Germans loyal to the Third Reich took
refuge after WWII, that fought with Germany during WWII, and is
generally, well, a Nazi regime (though not one exterminating
"untermenschen"; it just refuses them citizenship).
That's the RP idea. OOC, if you hate it, that's good, because I
think all sensible people hate Nazism, but sometimes you want to
play the bad guy and it is an ideology that still exists today
and has to be dealt with IRL, much less in RP.
(My main nation, the North Pacific League, represents my real
beliefs pretty closely, FWIW. Since they are about the opposite,
in making an alternative nation, I wanted to do something as
different as possible -- also regions need villains.)
The idea isn't to offend anyone, any more than the NCSA is meant
to offend descendants of former slaves, but let's not even go
there.
And for what it's also worth people say exactly the same thing
about Confederate flags, though I have more real sympathy for
that (that is, flying a Confederate flag). I'm just saying,
flags can't hurt you, not to be dismissive.
I certainly don't want to hurt you, I promise :) .

Amerikanisches Reich your membership is approved.
Ooc: the Confederate flag is not the issue. Its a small number
of liberals causing trouble and trying to get their way. In the
1920s the KKK marched with the current US flag. Should that be
removed.
Islamic terrorists kill and wabe their flag, should that be
removed.
A flag is simply an object. It does not support or deny hate
etc. Its the people behind it.

Just putting out my personal opinion out there:
I'll totally use a flag just because it's cool. And this is
actually a nice looking flag, only because of the sense of power
behind it. That and it looks intimidating :P
Moderator opinion:
Yes, this is perfectly fine. The swastika in your profile pic
maaaaaay be overdoing it. Just to let you know, having whatever
flag you want as your flag is okay. But if you start sprouting
Nazi doctrine, or Soviet propaganda and start making jokes about
the Gulag or sending people to concentration camps, etc., we may
have a problem. Just putting that out there.

Of course I'm not going to do anything like that; it's not my
personal view. It's just, to me, well, writing fiction about
Nazism, which I think is okay, actually kinda common in
alternate history settings, and shouldn't reflect on the writer.
I can certainly change my avatar and only picked this one
because it's well, easily associated with the State/nation. But
since the flag is in the sig (which I hope isn't annoying --
just old habit from the old NCSA site to have it somewhere in
all posts, because that site let you put it on the left sidebar)
that's good enough.
But anyway, thank you for being understanding.
