Will cracking down on drug ads help patients? |

One problem with watching TV these days is having to listen to |
|
so many ads for drugs. In many of them viewers are told to "talk |
|
to your doctor" about a drug. Maybe that is one reason for the |
|
often-long waits for appointments with a doctor--so many people |
|
whose interest in a drug was sparked by an ad are turning up at |
|
their doctors' offices to talk about a drug that has appealed to |
|
them. |
