| It's a varmint round. You need a headshot on a person, or it | |
| generally won't bring them down. If they are hopped up on some | |
| drug, it's even less effective. | |

| In the Vietnam war there was an instance of a VC getting super | |
| dosed on opium or something and taking 14 hits with a .308 | |
| before he went down! | |

| fishheads and mama-sans opium? say it aint so! | |
| a heartshot is just as effective as a headshot,considering the | |
| ballistic tumbling upon impact,a smaller round will cause more | |
| internal damage vs. a large bore that blows straight through.the | |
| idea was to enable more fragmentation upon entry, thus creating | |
| more tissue damage over a wider area.that being said,the | |
| 5.56/.223 isnt the IDEAL round for this,even a .243 or .270 is | |
| better, but the cost of mass production is cheaper and the weight | |
| of the basic load out is lighter.thats why the eggheads in the | |
| pentagon chose that caliber. | |
