Towing in (country) Style...

Ask and you shall receive... By popular (well by the standards
of a forum with only 65 members) demand here she is, my new tow
rig. Well I just bought it over the weekend and still have to
get it home. The truck is a '67 Chevy C10 straight outta
Nashville.

Notice International Harvester cab lights, kickass a-pillar
spotlights, gun rack, fork lift holes (haybale spikes) in the
side of the bed, and authentic bullet hole in the tailgate...

Plans include fixing any structural rust (the frame is
beautiful,) clearing the body, lowering it, and replacing the
bed floor with wood. That's all I got for now, more to come when
I get her home.

Is that a factory ac truck?
Spoiler alert, your truck probably has coil springs on the front
ND REAR, which makes building an air ride setup super easy

I honestly have no clue. To tell you the truth I paid zero
attention to weather or not it even had AC.
LOL yeah it definitly has coils on the rear and air may very
well be coming.

Thanks man. I definitely plan on keeping it way more simple than
my other build. I have lots of ppl ask if I'm gonna paint it and
I tell them I would be sad to see it get painted. It took it
almost 50 years to look this cool and gain all this character...

I would undercoat it...
Spray down the outside with oil to prevent more rust

I'm gonna undercoat it and I'm probably gonna clear the body.

Check out the weathering on the tailgate - was this thing on its
side for the past 20 years or something?

Seems like a pretty good 12v cummins swap candidate

Not sure how it wound up like that. The guy I bought it from
said that it was daily driven until a few years ago by his uncle
in TN.

I wouldn't mind going diesel with it but in sticking with my
budget/simple build the engine that I would have to go with is
the pos gm 350 diesel engine since it would be a drop in. I
think the 283 should do just fine for now.
