For less than $200, it's by far the cheapest lid you can buy,
and it shows. For starters, if you wear glasses, you can forget
about wearing them with this helmet. This is the only helmet
I've worn that doesn't have a provision in the foam for the arms
of your glasses. It almost looks like there's a spot for them
where the pieces of the foam meet, but obviously this is just a
coincidence because your glasses don't line up with your eyes.
Even if they did line up, your glasses would still move around
every time the helmet shifted and would most likely drive you
completely mad. Not sure what they were thinking when they came
up with this. I mean after all, only 75% of the population wears
corrective lenses, so that's clearly not enough people.

The chin strap. They put a big glob of silicone on the the end
of it and it prevents you from pulling it all the way out when
you try to take the helmet off. Huge pain in the @ss. You have
to either squeeze your face past the loosened strap, or you have
to make a huge effort to hold the loops apart while working the
strap out, and no way that's happening with your gloves on. I
suppose this is to make it easier to pull - but I'm not sure
what business someone has getting behind the wheel of a race car
if they can't even pull their chin strap tight.

I really wish I didn't buy this, but I was in a pinch and didn't
have my helmet with me. I almost bought a bike helmet off CL but
didn't want to risk driving all the way to the track and being
told I couldn't run. Turns out they didn't even look at my
helmet, they just tech'd the car. Oh well. Guess I have a
back-up for my back-up helmet.
