Tips for banner makers. |

|
Cause I'm so boss at GFX here's some tips. |
|
Use professional software e.g. Photoshop and Illustrator |
|
Always use a canvas size of 800x800, 1920x1080 and 1280x720 if |
|
your making backgrounds or avatars if they're HD. For posters |
|
and the like just upscale A4. |
|
Don't use too many bright, neon colours. Colour is nice however |
|
it can be a bit OTT. If your going for a clean professional |
|
finish use a grey tone and throw in a little colour. |
|
Make sure text is always clear. Having blue text on a blue |
|
background is hard to read and looks silly. |
|
Keep the same theme. When using text and colours make sure to |
|
use the same font throughout with the accepting of titles which |
|
are primarily bolder. Also don't have contrasting colour. |
|
Lighten it up. Don't be afraid to add a lighting effect or |
|
adjustment layer to increase the contrast and brightness for a |
|
more upbeat look. |
|
Make all edges perfect. Make sure you have no jittery edges. Use |
|
a soft brush with very little hardness to soften it up. |
|
Never use a banner making website with presets ad branding then |
|
claim it as your own. |
|
Refrain from using excess animated text. K3 has just about the |
|
right balance so go off him. |
|
Simple can be superior. A simple style can be very effective |
|
compared to a complex eyegasm of effects and colour. |
|
Finally, don't be afraid to experiment and click new buttons in |
|
your program. Photoshop can be quite daunting however I learnt |
|
by messing with the effects and shape tools. |
|
