First post reply China (Jeffrey)

1. Historically, the land that the Israelis live in now belonged
to their ancestors and this history can be traced back to about
140BC. The Roman empire was the ones who kicked them out of the
land and over time Arab settlers, the Palestinians, settled into
the area. The land is also where religions like Judaism and
Christianity originated. With that said China thinks that Israel
should receive the land. After the events of World War 2 it has
come to our attention that Jews are disliked greatly within the
European community and with the Holocaust it has shown us that
it can be quite dangerous to have the Jewish population spread
throughout Europe. It is for the safety of the Jewish population
that the state of Israel was created, here they have the
opportunity to live in land which once belonged to their
ancestors and they can protect their religious beliefs and
rights No longer do they have to worry about another Holocaust.
2. China believes that Palestine should be recognized by the
international community as a state. If we look at the
fundamentals of statehood, it says that a state is basically an
organized political community living under a government. The
Palestinians have a governing body and a population which the
government watches over. Moreover, Palestine has economic ties
with china showing that they have an economy. All these facts
show that not only is Palestine capable of being a state, but it
is already a state. Not only this, but if Palestine was
recognized internationally as a state it could be a steeping
stone towards peace within the middle east. Negotiations between
Israel and Palestine will become much easier.
3. With the state of the environment deteriorating quickly, we
must find alternate fuel sources that is relatively clean. The
amount of energy provided by nuclear power is exponential and
when it is compared to the impact it has on the environment, it
is considered the best alternate fuel source available. Although
Iran is the worlds 3rd largest oil export, that resource will
soon run out and when that time arises, Iran will be in
desperate need of a large energy source. However, China does not
see the need for Iran to have nuclear weapons nor do we wish to
see that. If Iran attains nuclear weapons, this could greatly
disrupt the power balance within the middle east. If this
happens China will step in and see to it that Iran stops their
nuclear weapons production.

By your logic, Native Americans should own all of North America.
The Jews were not "kicked out" they were taken as slaves. The
remaining Jewish inhabitants fled the land of Israel and in the
rise of Islam, the Arabs took the land. The Palestinians never
kicked out they Jews 2000 years ago so what rights do they have
to take over the land now. The Jews going through a Holocaust
does not give them the right to take over land they haven't
owned in numerous years. If Jewish people are to be given
reparations for what happened to them in the Holocaust, it
should not be at the expense of the Palestinian people, it
should be at the expense of Germany.

We 100% agree with on Israel recieving the land after the events
of World War 2 they definitely need a place where they can be
safe.
I just read an article from March 20th 2011 which talked about a
survey done by the University of Bielefeld which found that:
72.2% of Polish people felt some sort of hatred towards Jews.
