Canada-First Mandatory Post

1. 1. Who has the right to possess the land of Israel and
Palestine? Explain using historical/cultural/political reasoning
that reflect your country's position and beliefs.
Devin  Canada believes Israel has the right to the land;
firstly Israel was promised to the Jews twice in 1917 due to the
''the Balfour Declaration '', and 1922 because of the
''Churchhill White Paper but receive it until 1948, this was
decided by 33 countries including Canada which collectively
agreed upon the creation of the Jewish state of Israel; secondly
history shows that no Islamic empires had owned the land before
the Israeli's, it was originally owned by the Canaanites who
were conquered by the Israeli's. After the Israelis had been
pushed out of the land the Arab herders moved in and
unsuccessfully claimed the land as their own, these herders have
become today's Palestinians, lastly there is also no official
legal document proving that the Palestinians had ever owned the
land while the Israelis do have have documents proving they
legally own the land.
2. Should the international community recognize the statehood
of Palestine? Justify your response
Duncan - Palestine has no official government just two factions
Fatah and Hamas, and neither of these two factions would be able
to adequately rule the land.
Hamas would not be able to rule the land because it is a
terrorist organization, and if a terrorist organization was put
in power of a country it would not be able to economically
sustain the country because important super powers such as
Canada, the U.S.A and other countries under the U.N would not
want to interact with them due to many of them having a strict
policy on never negotiating with terrorists. If Palestine could
not form crucial trading relationships with these countries it
would be very difficult for them to survive due to not having
enough trade business.
Fatah would not be able to run the state due to extreme
corruption involving Fatah authority. In 2006 it was discovered
that $700 million or more, in public funds was stolen by
Palestine authority. Most of these cases too involved Fatah
officials
(
http://eufunding.org.uk/accountability/FatahCorruption.htm).<br
/>How can this government be expected to rule a country if they
are this corrupt. That would just be trusting them with more
money which they would abuse.
Thirdly Fatah and Hamas would be unable to run a country
together in a unified government. This is unlikely due to all
the hatred they have had for each other in the past. Fatah and
Hamas have fought in the streets several times for factional
control over the Gaza strip. Many Palestinians have died due to
this fighting and it is unrealistic to believe that the two
factions could just put all this violent history behind them and
work together.

3. What is your country's position regarding Iran's nuclear
program? How should the program be addressed?
Duncan, Devin - Canada seems to be nervous regarding our view of
Irans nuclear program; this is shown when our Prime Minister
was reported saying We are facing a regime that not only wants
to attain nuclear weapons but a regime that has, compared to
virtually all other holders of nuclear weapons in the past, far
less fear of using them.
(
http://www.canada.com/news/Iran+nuclear+program+agenda+Netanyahu+visits/6236607…
/>Canada obviously is not a supporter of Irans nuclear program.
We are dead set against nuclear weapons as well and dont
possess any ourselves. We have backed the UN in taking
precautions to prevent the development of Irans nuclear
program. Some of these precautions include since the year 2006
the Security Council of the UN has had four rounds of sanctions
against Iran regarding their Nuclear program. The United Nations
Security Council resolutions have developed certain restrictions
which include banning the export of specific items to Iran which
could assist in Iran's uranium enrichment-related, reprocessing
or heavy water-related activities, the assets of people who are
involved in Irans Iran's uranium enrichment-related,
reprocessing or heavy water-related activities being frozen,
and a ban of importing anything from Iran which are related to
proliferation-sensitive nuclear activities or to the development
of nuclear weapon delivery systems.

Your arguments in your first point are contradictory. You say
the Israelis conquered the land so they deserve it since they
were kicked out. They kicked people out to get in. Hypocritical,
no?
1800+ years of history will show you that the Palestinians owned
the land. Through natural courses of events the Arabs were about
to take control of the land and through an UNnatural course of
events the land was given back to Israelis. You claim there is
no evidence that there is no document proving that an Islamic
empires ever owned the land of Israel BEFORE the Israelis. No
one was claiming they did, if it was a matter of 'who was there
first' then Natives Americans have soul entitlement to Canada
and the US. The fact is the Israelis have 0 rights to the land.

LOL seriously? the Caaninites weren't kicked out they were
conquered, I've never met a Caaninite before have you?
History has shows us, the land that is now Israel belonged to
the Jews way before any Islamic empire. The Canaanites weren't
early Muslim Palestinians find me evidence they were, also as
Islam was not created during that time, if you did some research
you would know Islam is the youngest of the three major
Monotheistic religions and was created long after Judaism. The
weak Native American argument everyone keeps using is useless,
the Palestinians were not their first, there is absolutely no
evidence to back that up.

I was referring to them kicking out Palestine not kicking out
Caaninites.
You're taking what I said and twisting it, none of what you said
applies to what I previously stated, read it again till you
understand.
Take into account what I said, and rebuttal, don't spew the same
garbage that was in your first paragraph, thank you.
FURTHERMORE the arguement is used as if the Native americans are
Israelis and America are palestinians
Drawing this parrallel shows that if the Israelis are THE
NATIVES and get the land, then why dont NATIVES who represent
the ISRAELIs get their land?
That was to help you understand the arguement. Not that
palestinians were there first, you don't seem to understand,
just trying to clarify.

Islam being the youngest of the three monotheistic religions has
nothing to do with anything. Don't tell me to do research when I
never stated anything relivent to that out of context,
completely irrelivant argument you are trying oh so hard to
illustrate.

I was gonna respond earlier but honestly I don't understand what
you're trying to say,
- your points are all over the place,
- the way you worded stuff is strange,
- You keep changing your views,
- You don't explain yourself,
it's super confusing I showed a couple other people and they
don't understand what your saying either...
good job, you somehow managed to make Hamas look worse than it
already is ;)
