August Membership Meeting 8-26-18

Please join your chicken family for this month's educational
meeting on 8-26-18 at the Jon Archer Center, 1070 Schillinger
Road North, Mobile, AL 36608. The meeting will run from 3:00 to
4:00pm. We request that you begin arriving around 2:30 for
fellowship and refreshments.
We are so excited to have with us again, Dr. Branislav Erak, DVM
to speak on The Early Signs of Disease in Chickens; What to
Look For and How to Recognize a Sick Bird. For those who are
not familiar with Dr. Erak, he attended a veterinary high school
in Bosnia-Herzegovina and obtained a Veterinary Technician
diploma in 1998. He then attended Belgrade University
veterinary school for three years prior to moving to Mobile in
2003. Dr. Erak then worked as a technician at Azalea/University
Animal Hospitals for 10 years until he decided to complete his
veterinary education at Auburn University. He graduated in the
spring of 2014 and returned to the Azalea/University group where
he practices small animal medicine and surgery. He also has a
special interest in the medical and surgical treatment of avian
and exotic animals. We are so fortunate to have Dr. Erak to rely
on for the proper diagnosis and treatment of disease and injury
in our flocks so let�s show him our appreciation by coming out
and supporting his presentation.
As with every meeting, we will be giving away door prizes but
we will have an EXCEPTIONAL opportunity this month for you to
own your very own Grandpa�s Feeder valued at 109.95!! Tickets
will be 1.00 each and the feeder will be given away at the end
of Dr. Erak�s presentation and you must be present to win. Be
on the lookout for photos on the Club FB page. We had some
terrific suggestions deposited in our Suggestion Box over the
past few months so please keep them coming. You will find the
Suggestion Box near the Registration Table so please be thinking
about ways you would like to see MBABYCC improve. This is your
chicken club and we want your input!!
Your meeting homework is 1) Put the meeting on your schedule
and come join us on 8-26. 2) Think about what suggestions you
would like to offer to make MBABYCC even better. 3) Decide what
delicious refreshment creation you are going to share.
Our monthly meetings are for those who are paid members of
MBABYCC. If you are not a paid member, we would love for you
join our chicken family! The dues are 20.00 a year and that
covers all family members living in your home. For your
investment of 20.00 you can attend monthly educational meetings,
two picnics a year, a Christmas party and other MBABYCC events.
Margaret Pinter, Hospitality Chairwoman, and her team will be on
hand to check in club members and have membership applications
available for anyone wanting to join at the meeting. She will
gladly answer any questions you may have and will help you join
us if you choose to do so.
