| Good info. Personally, I always cringe when I hear some say | |
| after cutting the grass they threw the clippings into the | |
| chicken pen. The problem with that is that the chicken has no | |
| way to break the grass into small pieces before ingesting. | |
| Typically (if there is such a thing with chickens...), they | |
| snatch/peck/break off small pieces of grass, leaves, flowers, | |
| etc. These small pieces normally do not create a problem. But | |
| when they have long pieces of cut grass and eat them, there is | |
| always the potential for them to become entangled in the crop | |
| and that can lead to a number of problems, including death if | |
| not corrected. | |
| My advice is to avoid through them cut grass. For me...better | |
| safe than sorry. | |

| started with chickens, an impacted crop with 4" long pieces of | |
| grass! | |
