| My son alerted me to eggs on my carport yesterday(my ckns are | |
| all in the back yard) | |
| I found a clutch of 12 eggs in a flower pot. I think I know who | |
| the sneaky hen is.They were definitely from the same hen. | |
| All eggs were good, according to the water test. eggcept 2 were | |
| slightly off the bottom of the bowl. | |
| Since I had put them in water, I then refrigerated them and | |
| boiled and ate those 2. | |
| We'll see if she returns and says"WHERE'S MY NEST?? | |

| [/quote]No, of course not. I think it was Penny, a Turkin. There | |
| have been no more eggs in that spot. | |

| Every time I take the hidden Eggs, they go somewhere else and | |
| hide them. I know they are just sitting under one of my Azaleas | |
| and laughing while I search! | |

| Yep, they will move to a different spot. Right now, I have a | |
| leghorn laying her egg in the doggie igloo on the porch. Of | |
| course, it is up 19 steps on the back porch but at least it is | |
| easy for me to see. I tried to reprogram her (4 days locked in | |
| the run until I got home from work) but she still ran up the | |
| steps and laid her egg. The other girls weren't real happy | |
| having to be cooped up. So, I decided to let he lay there so I | |
| would at least know where to look! | |
