|
The National Poultry Improvement Plan is a cooperative industry, |
|
state and federal program that focuses on improving the health |
|
and quality of poultry and poultry products throughout the |
|
United States. Participation in the NPIP program is voluntary |
|
and in Alabama there is no charge to the individual. However, |
|
most states require NPIP compliance if you are going to produce, |
|
sell and SHIP fertile hatching eggs or baby chicks out of state. |
|
The State of AL requires you become NPIP certified as an |
|
Independent Hatchery and purchase a 10.00 Hatchery Permit every |
|
year. In the link below you will find more information |

|
up an inspection. |
