| Ljl as solidstate battery charger | |

| Hi all. I am playing around with charging batteries while still | |
| getting plenty of useful light. Simple , just take a 400X diode | |
| and put that on the HV out of the coil to battery to be charged | |
| positive. Then connect the negative of the battery to be charged | |
| to the other side of the hv. In other words put the battery in | |
| parallel with the lights. Just use one diode with the arrow | |
| facing the battery to be charged. It lowers the amount of light | |
| produced but also lowers the amp draw in my case anyway. The | |
| squeal does get louder but I cannot get the system to get hotter | |
| or see any adverse effects other than decreased light output and | |
| a little more noise. | |
| Just thought I would share. I didn't see any posts talking about | |
| charging from this device. | |
| Thanks, | |
