Many thanks....I try to help were ever I can and adjusting a few |
|
components on a simulator is only a few minutes job that can |
|
save some people hours of trial and error. |
|
Just a side note that R3 can be anything from 0 to about 10 ohms |
|
depending upon the brightness of the low setting required or |
|
remove switch and resistor if not required. The above circuit |
|
runs at about 850ma and 120ma on low but has not been tested in |
|
practice by me using the above components, (I do trust my |
|
simulator though and it has never been too far out of whack). |

Just a quick shout to ask if you built the above driver ? .... |
|
Did it work ok ? .... current readings ? .... would be nice to |
|
know if it was okay with the 2n3055 .... really curious. |

Thanks for checking in, as you may have guessed i have the |
|
transistors, the resistors however are another matter ( |
|
challenges of living on a small island). |
|
I am still trying to source them on the island, if by weekend i |
|
have not sourced them, I will mail order them from overseas. |
|
