Something new

Seems like we're getting bored and need something new The LJL
has been pretty much beaten to death.
We need to work on some new fun stuff
A bigger Seagull 200 or 360 - I have worked on this a bit and
will post drawings.
A rectangular wood box lined inside and out with foil, topped
with two metal cherubim (gold if you have some), and the box
will contain two slabs of stone or PVC wrapped in silk.
Insulate from ground and shake back and forth until you are
shocked really bad. Good fun.
Or alternately, see if a spinning wind turbine can also generate
a significant static charge between the blades and ground.
Lidmotor has shown that certain high voltage capacitors can
store the charge to be used in motors.
Space heater using wind and solar electricity. A closed loop
tube where H2O is separated into H and O gas, the system will
also have a spark gap above water level to ignite the gas,
heating the metal tube and then the gases will reform into H2O
to cycle again. This could be a blocking oscillator type
circuit that can jump a spark gap, so perhaps a 3rd coil that is
very high voltage. This will be solar or wind powered. The
closed loop will be formed by a metal tubing, with insulated
electrodes at appropriate spots. Two down low in the water for
HO, and two up higher on the loop to ignite the gas. Kevlar
jacket and safety goggles should be worn while experimenting.
Wind powered go-kart would be cool
Top fired boiler using a rocket stove concept.
Add your favorite idea to the list.

point where it looks impossible, and then he gets discouraged.
That's not the place to become discouraged."

how about a supplimental heating system ?
your regular heating system keeps the house above freezing. you
walk into a room and a motion sensor turns on overhead IR lamps
to keep you warm. leave the room and they go off.
kind of like those food keep- warm stations at the restaurant.

this is for crazyguy..you intrigued my interest in your micro
heating with a infrared sunlamp i love them 8)....an think it is
a great idea! ??? but what is the cost ..i get cold very easy
with diabetes an we had a miserable winter :'( an I ran across
this site..an this featured on youtube,,may be old news but it
was 80 watts of consumption power ;D i'm a silent member to the
movement.. i liked your idea an you an others may find this very
efficient..
i want my old electric blanket back...an my bed i sleep in a
hospital bed on gel -mat it stays pretty warm..due to back
pain.
