| General TV discussion | |
| By: Cibryll Date: August 21, 2022, 7:15 am | |
| --------------------------------------------------------- | |
| Thought we had this, we didn't, meow meow meow. | |
| So apparently, Cartoon Network sold off most of its original | |
| programming to HBO Max, and after some Discovery merger, the | |
| latter's removing them - apparently as a tax write-off or | |
| something? | |
| Which means, it's apparently possible those shows will never | |
| again be available to watch, at least legally. | |
| Cartoon Network apparently even removed tweets, YouTube clips, | |
| and other stuff mentioning things like Mao Mao or Infinity | |
| Train, as if those never existed. | |
| As I understand it, things that still continue to exist won't | |
| have classic episodes available, just the newer ones, or | |
| something? | |
| Imagine something you've worked on so hard for so many years, | |
| just disappearing because of executives. | |
| Thought this was just a joke (saw it first on Twitter) but | |
| figured I'd do some research and came across this | |
| https://techcrunch.com/2022/08/18/hbo-max-is-removing-36-titles-and-creators-ar… | |
| />so it seems to not be a joke. :-\ | |
| 5 years for 100 episodes of Summer Camp Island, and pulled as if | |
| its creators were nothing at all. | |
| This. | |
| Is. | |
| AN OUTRAGE! | |
| * cut to Cibryll attempting to use Outrage only to fail * | |

| It's always executives wanting to screw everybody else over | |
| because money is the most important thing to them. | |

| And then they wonder why they can't afford to put anything out, | |
| causing them to ironically lose more money than they started | |
