Topic for unsorted ideas...

Yeah, I had an idea... so here it is...
A game where dungeons are randomly generated using card items...
Using a "Flame" card generates a fire-theme dungeon... a "Frost"
card, ice... an "Ocean" card, water... with drowning hazards...
a "Sand" card, a dungeon with a desert theme...
Of course monsters will vary, but their powers should ideally
scale with the player's... so basically, if the player levels
up, all monsters level up...
That said, this is all I have right now... I guess it is better
nothing...

I like this. You could have the final boss unlocked by creating
and completing a dungeon from each element. After the final boss
is defeated, you can fuse cards to create new dungeons. Once all
combinations are unlocked, you can unlock the final boss's
stronger form. Then you can combine all the cards into a bonus
dungeon complete with secret boss.

That sounds great... :-)
We can have grotto-like areas like Dragon Quest IX, as post-game
areas... beat the final boss, dozens of side quests get unlocked
with grotto cards as rewards... and stronger palette swaps (with
minor alterations, such as a normal bat enemy with a palette
swap that has four bladed wings)...
In fact, all palette swaps should have modifications... a
falcon, with a black-winged falcon with blue flames... :-b
Also... a monster coliseum where monsters battle each other, and
you can bet currency on who will win... like in DQ3...
(Of course, it should be late-game to avoid getting the currency
limit too early...)
Maybe even a class system like Final Fantasy... though with the
Tactics' sort of requirements (master 3 abilities of Class A to
unlock Class D, for example) instead of being tied to
crystals...
(Incidentally, that final stone in LS that turns red...? That
text is not applicable to Newerth, but rather the planet

Dragon Quest IX's grotto was quite interesting and something
like that could work. Perhaps it could be possible to make more
difficult dungeons if you fuse two of the same card? Or if you
complete a dungeon, you can choose to upgrade the card to create
more difficult dungeons?
Palette swapped enemies I'd be fine with, if only because it
reminds me of the old JRPG games I've played.
A monster coliseum would be nice. One of the classes could have
a skill that allows them to recruit monsters for the coliseum,
and there could be exclusive monsters there. Hell, you could
even have rematches with all the bosses in the game.
Also there's a red stone in Lunar Shadow? Huh, that's new.

It turns red after the final cutscene with Valerie Horton...
...
A class could use card-fighting like KHCOM, just with Ace to
King (and Joker)... each suit representing an element (Fire,
Earth, Water, Air)... Jokers are completely random elements and
damage...
(Just silliness... :-b)
The first RPG Charlie played was Grandia 2 (PC), and it had
palette swaps too... though I like the Land Cougar and Snow
Leopard monsters best... <3
Maybe we can have a whole family of feline foes...
And other families (insect, arachnid, machine, etc.) as well...
Some weapons are more effective on specific monster "families"
than usual, like... "Dragonslayer" being stronger against
dragons... or "Fishing Spear" being more effective against
fishes...
Maybe add elemental imbuing (i.e. "Fire Fishing Spear" =
"Fishing Spear" + "Flame Gem")...
So many ideas~...
