You would be surprised. I know a guy who's 17 right now and he's |

getting arranged to a 13-year-old girl by both of their parents. |

Arranged marriages happen all the time, particularly in Asia and |
|
Africa. |

There's a huge line of difference between Arranged marriage and |
|
Forced marriage though. Arranged marriage can be good. I have a |
|
friend in Qatar who was arranged and knew his would-be wife when |
|
he was 16. So I asked him, what if you don't love that person? |
|
But he said that you grow to love the other person. That is a |
|
healthy arranged marriage. Parents know what works and what |
|
doesn't work in a relationship, so they just help you find a |
|
partner who they think would help you live a good lifestyle. |
|
On the other hand, there are families who would rather "honour |
|
kill" their children if they don't marry a specific person. |
|
That's forced marriage. There's no honour in honour killings, |
|
it's extremely revolting and twisted. Unfortunately, like |
|
arranged marriages, this still happens all around the world and |
|
so many people are unhappy because of it. It's a vulgar display |
|
of power honestly. |
