| Nintendo general discussion | |

| Discuss the new Nintendo console here. (Because why not.) | |
| This was code-named "NX".[hr]EDIT: | |
| This thread is being repurposed to discuss anything related to | |
| Nintendo that does not have its own thread or board. | |
| Or stuff like Nintendo Directs. I hear those are directly a | |
| thing. :p | |

| Not as surprised with this console's main gimmivk seeing as | |
| though it being a hybrid console was a very prevalent rumour. | |
| What I am surprised, however, is how they're combining other | |
| technology in an attempt to innovate. Nintendo has always been | |
| the one to mix older technology in order to innovate. They've | |
| done so since the days of the NES. | |

| But yes, it is a surprise. | |
| Some theorize that the main series Generation VIII Pokmon games | |
| would be on the Nintendo Switch. (That, despite the fact that | |
| Generation VII hasn't started yet, and will start next month.) | |

| To be fair, it is a hybrit home/handheld console. | |
| On a related note, in a responce to petitions, etc. demanding | |
| Nintendo consoles to be region free, Nintendo had stated that | |
| their next console [after the Wii U and 3DS] would be so. Since | |
| this is the next console... | |

| Of course all Nintendo need is a killer line-up of games and | |
| they're all set. | |

| Well, enhanced ports of Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon are known for | |
| being under the way, as well as a new mainline Mario game. | |
| In addition, the Nintendo Switch is confirmed to have a strong | |
| third party support, unlike what appened with the Wii U at | |
| launch. | |

| Mario Kart 8 (sequel or updated release or DLC; too little | |

| Splatoon (sequel or updated release or DLC; too little | |
| information available)[hr]So, the Nintendo Switch is the first | |
| cartridge-based home console since the Nintendo 64. | |
| And apparently acts as a "third pillar", not replacing the Wii U | |
| Wii U Wii U-- sorry. Not replacing the Wii U or the 3DS. | |

| I'm a simple girl. | |
| I see "Switch", I switch it with the "Tera Switchium Z". | |
| Though I hear it DOES replace both the Wii U and the 3DS? | |
| Gen 7 of Pokemon also got Yellow remakes with Leaf as an NPC, | |
| though. | |
