Dare I say it!

Does anyone here like what Tucker Carlson has to say?
I thought that he was spot on yesterday .
But, I am guessing that Im alone in this ? [emoji3]

I'm skeptical about him, Helen. I do not wish to cause you any
offense.
He had a very big role in the Dominion defamation suit which
caused Fox to lose 787 million dollars. In that lawsuit, Tucker
Carlson was shown from the evidence to be a spectacular liar
among many within that corporation. The evidence was so bad for
Fox, they had to settle out of court to evade futher punitive
damages.
In the end, I do not accept Tucker Carlson's amoral,
anti-Christian rhetoric in his politics.
He is very easily given over to mendacity and cannot be trusted,
I think.

Thanks for your reply , good to hear another point of view.
No offence at all. I knew I was in the minority here .probably
a stand-alone haha!
Back in the day we heard a very anointed preacher .
But our pastor took us aside and said - Always listen to what
God says through a man, but also be wise and separate what a
person says from how a person lives . Turned out the anointed
preacher was a blaggard ( our pastors old fashioned word ) and
cruel at home to his wife and kids , beating the wife.
So, whatever Tucker is or isnt , what he had to say , I believe
needed to be said .
If God could use a donkey to speak to Balam , God can speak
through anything! [emoji4]
Just my thoughts .

[/quote]What did he say? I don't keep up with him since he
sounds angry so much of the time. I wish he'd calm down a bit.
His wife seems to like him; and I wonder how she does it. I'm
guessing he is calmer around her.

Helen, I had to research this because I didn't know what you
were referring to. First of all, I'm not a Tucker Carlson fan.
He's too political for me. No offense, that's just me.
I will agree with something that I think he was saying. Although
he was referring to more than one thing. I agree that the number
one priority should be the protection and safety of children and
that covers a lot of ground.
I see so many people who seem to be only concerned about their
own rights and protections. They don't seem to care about the
most helpless and defenseless among us. Children are being used
as political pawns too.

appealing to Republicans and specifically to Trump voters. Okay,
I get that. While I used to be a Republican, Fox never appealed
to me that much since I saw it as biased the same way I saw
MSNBC as slanted too much in the liberal direction. What I
really didn't like about Carlson's exit from Fox was how Fox
tried to shift the blame for their legal problems. By firing
him, they seemed to me to be trying to pass the buck when
really he was only doing what they thought was smart for their
business.

try to explain my views; but I think both sides are using
children as political pawns, and I don't like that. I don't even
claim to have all the answers since it's such a complicated
subject. I get the feeling there might be horrible fallout in
ten or twenty years when those kids grow up and we see the
results of what's happening now. I don't like what I hear from
the Democrats or the Republicans.

Agree , the children are being used but also being emotionally
and mentally attacked at school . ( I have two grandchild who
are teachers , so I get it first hand from the horses mouth)
The poor teachers have so many rules now. Try going through a
day never using her, she, he or his and much much more . One of
my granddaughters is quitting teaching at the end of this month
, after 10 years shes going to train to become a nurse .
Kids are being bombarded by LGBTQ teacher nagging them for
not trying out things sexually , AND explaining to the kids
what they actually do in the bedrooms at the weekends and how
good it feels.
I dont remember ever hearing about heterosexual teachers
constantly nagging , belittling , and intimidating the kids in
the classrooms.
But, it seems no one can stop the LGBTQs from doing so. The
NDP leader here said her political party would remove children ,
or imprison parents who hindered their young children from
transgender surgery . She was here to help the children .
Stop the world , time to get off now.
On the positive side , ( for me ) is that this weekend the
Muslim and Christians united together in an Ottawa demonstration
saying- Leave our kids alone I say - Amen to that.

Yes, I know. One of my granddaughters said that she was
"pansexual". That was all the way back when Obama was President.
That's when all this first started to be taught in schools. She
said that I was old fashioned and that my values were out of
date. She said that I had to "earn" her respect. She was so
disrespectful to me and her mother. my daughter. I told her that
I was "old school" and that she wasn't going to talk to or treat
me that way and she learned that real quick. She was so confused
and mixed up then about her sexuality because of what she was
being taught in school. She became miserable and had low self
esteem. It took years for her to get that stuff out of her head
and to be happy. She later got married.

There are a lot of teachers quitting for the same reason.

No, there's no stopping it now. Children having transgender
surgery even without their parent's permission but they can't
buy cigarettes, alcohol or drive till they are a certain age.
Yeah, that makes so much sense. ::) Parental rights don't stop
at the classroom door or they shouldn't. Politics doesn't belong
in the classroom from either side.

That's encouraging to hear. More people need to stand up for
children.

I don't have all the answers either but I know what I feel in my
spirit about it and I know from experience how wrong and
damaging this is to children.
Adults can make informed decisions about transgender surgery but
not children.

I just read an article about a Democrat Councilmember who
likened the views of some Muslim families with the views of
white supremacists and outright bigots. She has really upset
the Muslim community.
Council President Evan Glass expressed disappointment with
Councilmember Kristin Minks comments during a June 6 Montgomery
County Board of Education meeting concerning some parents who
want permission to opt their children out of any class
containing LGBTQ+ reading materials.
I have spoken with Councilmember Mink about her comments and
have expressed my profound disappointment, Glass said Monday.
During that public BOE meeting, Mink likened the views of some
Muslim families with the views of white supremacists and
outright bigots.
A few days later, Mink issued a statement saying she regretted
that her remarks created an opportunity for misunderstanding
and mischaracterization. I apologize for the hurt that this
caused in the Muslim community.
Her statement continued, Even when individuals disagree about
difficult issues, I am committed to finding space to foster
authentic dialogue and seeking points of understanding. I sat
down to hear from Muslim community members before my remarks on
Tuesday and with District 5 Muslim leaders on Thursday. I
listened, and I understand their concerns.
During the BOE public meeting, Mink said, This issue has
unfortunately put, it does put, some, not all of course, but
some Muslim families on the same side of an issue as white
supremacists and outright bigots, however the folks who Ive
talked [with] here today I would not put in the same category as
those folks, although its, again, complicated because theyre
falling on the same side of this particular issue.
