Mary the successful Admiral at Lepanto: Why not in the Spanish
Armada 1588 or Trafalger 1805

The Catholic church, for centuries, had lionized Mary's
intercession and victory in the battle of Lepanto in 1571. From
this victory, that church has encouraged its communicants that
all faithful Catholics should pray to the Virgin Mary for
victory in whatever life situation that they find themselves.
A question that I have is this. Perhaps Mary had a successful
admiralcy in the battle of Lepanto. But why didn't Mary
intercede with the Lord and gain the victory in other battles as
well. Despite Mary's intercession, why was there the stunning
defeat of the Spanish Armada in 1588 and that of Trafalger in
1805? Did Mary want to have a Catholic victory over the
Protestants, or was she indifferent to those interceding to her?

I'm not sure myself, Kerry. Catholics supposedly treasure
Mary's intercession because "her Son will not deny his Mother
anything".
Her intercession supposedly worked at Lepanto in 1571, but
failed in the English Channel in 1588 and at Trafalger in 1805.
Consider how Catholics talk about Lepanto, how God favors the
Catholic church over other false religions, it is probably a
great mystery to Catholics when the intercession fails.
There could be a human explanation. Mary, as mortal, can only
take a certain number of prayers before she reaches a point of
overload, and cannot take any more intercessions. Maybe the
Catholic Virgin Mary was blitzed by too many prayers from too
many people, plus the soldiers and sailors that were present in
the Spanish Armada and at Trafalger. Perhaps this created some
mental confusion on her part and so she didn't ask the Son of
Man in a timely manner, and other intercessions came before him
sooner.

I understand that the Catholic Virgin Mary is an honorary
Admiral in the Spanish Navy since Lepanto. She is also an
honorary General in the Spanish Army since her intercession is
credited for victory by Francisco Franco in the Spanish Civil
War.
Is the Catholic Virgin Mary's possible delegated pay being doled
out for charitable purposes?
Is the Catholic Virgin Mary revered in pictures depicting her
dressed in ancient and modern military uniforms?
Is the Catholic Virgin Mary's intercession to victory for
Francisco Franco a display of her sympathy for fascism?
If the Catholic Virgin Mary's intercession to victory is to be
revered, why aren't American Catholics lobbying to have the
Catholic Virgin Mary enrolled as an honorary American General
and Admiral?
