But if you are correct in your assertion that we lack freewill,
twinc, isn't it more correct to say that we are not players but
rather puppets under the divine mind? A puppet has no life,
only it's manipulator does.

[/quote]What a depressing view. You must have a low opinion of
what the image and likeness of God is capable of being.

Agree with Kerry, and I disagree with you Jim...who wrote that
in the OP... it is obviously a 'quote' and obviously written by
an unbeliever. Puppets do not have a choice...they are
manipulated. They appear as if they have life, but they do not.
Is that how you see yourself and your life Jim..?

If there is no free will and people are puppets, why would God
tell Israel this:
Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day
against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing
and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed
may live:

there was no choice but to obey - twinc

here we have an insight into the whole human tragedy of human
relationship with his God perpetuated by the know all and know
betters than even God - our Muslim brothers carry it to an
extreme but as Christians we must learn to gently accept it as
submission imho - twinc
we were taught at the very beginning that as long as Israel
submitted to God and relied entirely on Him she prospered but
lost when she started to rely on her own strength and wisdom -
