T2O
By: Kerry Date: November 4, 2018, 12:45 am

There is a thread at True to Ourselves now that may interest you
somewhat.
http://www.true2ourselves.com/forum/general-discussions/11849-random-t2o.html
What? Just stopping by for a peek? Before you motor-on, what is
that passing thought each time you lay eyes on this place?
First-time? How did the impression go? Good, bad, indifferent, a
little or a lot and yes, non-committal, how has or how has T2O
not shaped your world?
Yes, I stop in for a peek from time to time. I fear mostly out
of morbid curiosity. Don't ask me to post. I was banned.
My impression of it now? Deadly dull.

I had a post of mine banned there. It was rather innocuous.
I like freer forums. If I wanted to be policed, I'd go to NK.

That forum was mainly biased by one particular religion. I got
so tired of that and asked for my membership to be deleted
because I couldn't do it myself for some reason.

---------------------------------------------------------
I must say that I misunderstood what was happening on T2O. If
one looks back onto the older postings, one can see the
treachery of deceit that figured prominently in a significant
number of conservative posters. This treachery of deceit went
on for years. Little did they know that they were helping to
usher in an anti-Christ named Trump and that they would abandon
any meaningful profession of their faith. It is sad to say that
this website seems to be a kind of sociological record of what
happened during those years, during the decline and fall of
American Evangelicalism when they lost the Millenial generation.
Now most Evangelical churches are filled largely with elderly
and middle aged people. Their children are largely gone.
I was shocked by the falsity of the supposed ecumenical nature
of the site. It was one of the saddest of the treacherous lies.
I found that it didn't permit Catholic doctrine, that is to say
its social teachings, to be expressed. This was despite that
the site's administrator was Roman Catholic, and many of its
influential posters were also supposedly Catholic or
Anglo-Catholic. Before I was silenced, I was informed that a
Catholic could disagree with its Magisterium and still not be
regarded as a heretic. Little did I realize that the site was
pseudo-Catholic and that it was filled by apostates to that
religion. In one of the more saddest deceits, they were only
pretending to the ecumenical statements of the original founders
while subverting their purpose.
Brad has posted in the thread the final denunciation of what
happened to T2O. I suppose that he will be banned. I think he
spoke for all of us. I've always deeply admired him and Gray in
their many postings. These are the postings:
I used to really enjoy coming here. I made a few long-standing
on-line friends. I used to enjoy the discussions which were
interesting and robust. We argued, we agreed, we each put
forward out own points of view with respect (with some obvious
exceptions).
You could have a laugh and a joke. You could let off steam. You
could learn something every day. It was interesting,
frustrating, mildly addictive and offered a place to hang out
for a while each day to see what topic or what point of view was
worth responding to.
Then the moderators changed.
Now I've been a member for many years. And I know that any given
forum has hot moments and slow times. But the decline aligned
exactly with the change.
Some of the more interesting posters were either zapped or left.
And I know from personal messages why they left. It was
specifically because of one mod.
Back in the day there were not just a few posts each day, but
dozens. On all topics under the sun. Now...there are barely 4 or
5 people left posting maybe one or two messages each day. So
it's passed the critical point. No-one wants to joint a forum
that is so sterile. lLog on these days and you get the sense of
tumbling weed rolling around dusty topics long abandoned.
Mark had a great idea. It didn't turn out exactly as he'd hoped
but it was nevertheless a place that you could suggest to
someone that it might be worth visiting. Just call in and say hi
and see where it goes. But no longer. It's now on life-support.
So no-holds? You want to know why it happened? It beats me why
you need to ask.
Congratulations, Soulheart. You killed the forum. You might well
be the last to leave. Could you please turn out the lights?
After a number of defensive and not constructive postings by
Catholic Crusader and Soulheart, later Brad sets the hook with
this posting:
Well pin your ears back CC and Soulheart.
The fact that CC is still around and is given carte blanche to
post any of the crap he does, shows you, Soulheart, for the
pathetic fascimile of the Christian you must think you are. I've
never experienced anyone exhibiting less of the characteristics
one would expect to find in a Christian in my life than the
attitudes of you two.
It has generally been agreed over the years by most people who
have sent me PMs that CC has a serious mental problem. I always
disagreed with this. I have been around the block enough times
to know that there are people like him you will always find
hiding under rocks. There are no psychological or medical
excuses. He is what he is. Snide, lacking in compassion, ugly,
misogynist (you should have seen his twitter account before it
was closed), ill informed, biased, petty and incapable of
producing anything like a cogent argument. It has been all bile.
I've not seen worse in any forum over the last 15 years.
He has been banned from this site more times than I can actually
remember, his twiter account closed and has been banned from at
least two other sites (of which I was also a member although he
was too dumb to recognise my posts as being mine).
So all we have left now is the Komedy Klub. Starring the Faux
Christian and his moronic side kick. Two characters who
complement each other prefectly. One so full of* self important
indignation that every post drips with self righteousness. And
the moron. Both an embarresment to the religion in which you
claim to believe.
Make a list of the Top Ten Reasons why this forum is now dead
and it would be difficult to decide which of you should be
number 1.
So hasta la vista. But I'll be keeping an eye on both of you for
a while. You never know where I might pop up, CC. You leave a
trail of information about yourself wherever you go like a slug
leaves a trail of slime. Which is quite an apt metaphor for
something like you.
Y'all have a nice day now.
I suppose Brad will now be banned joining the honorable company
of Gray and CinderAsh. It is regrettable that the website is
dying. Its death was due to occur but it is still sad. I
deeply enjoyed posting to many of the people there.
Thanks Kerry for bringing this matter before us . . . :)

Are you still a member there, Holland? I doubt if Brad (the
atheist) would be interested in joining this site; but if you
are still a member there able to send messages, it might be nice
to invite him. What I liked about him was how he kept people
on their toes.
A woman had joined there a month or so ago; and while I didn't
agree with much of what she wrote, reading the tea leaves told
me she'd get banned. I sent a message to Brad (the moderator)
telling him she'd be welcome here. I figured that might solve a
problem for them: If she posted here, they wouldn't ban her
there. I never heard back from Brad; and she got banned.
As for the people running the site? White Tiger claims to be a
Catholic but the Catholic Church rejects that claim, saying the
person ordaining Bishops was a renegade.
Then there was the so-called Episcopalian priest with a dubious
history that included an allegation from parents of a child who
said he asked inappropriate questions, as if he was prying for
sexual details. He isn't an Episcopalian since he either quit
that church, got pressured out, or got tossed out. He joined
some denomination that includes "Anglican" in its name, I think
allegedly part of the English church.
Then there was the Catholic priest who got arrested for drunk
driving back in 2009. Someone at the smirkingchimp
http://www.smirkingchimp.com/thread/21621
wrote at the time how
he got kicked out of a Catholic school for using pot:
So they kicked me out from there strict school down there for
smoking. Which school, I don't want to write it or the
authorities down there will get a shout out about it. It rhymes
with" I have Diarrhea ". That's what a lot of the guys called
the place. But what did I do? I smoked some pot, just like a lot
of people did who didn't get caught. They are just going to be
more careful. But what did I really do? I didn't get in a car
and drive high. I just sat and partied and had fun. Anyways
other vehicles are different from a car.
A girl I knew down there pointed out something to me. She is
from a parish where the Pastor recently got arrested for driving
drunk. Driving drunk is a lot worse. You actually put people's
lives at risk. So what kind of morality does this Fr. Joseph
Waters have? C'mon. And I get kicked out for relaxing with some
smoking. I looked this Waters up and he even was doing training
in Rome. So he comes from Rome and drives drunk at home. He was
accused by somebody at a school he worked at of shaking him like
abusively. That sounds like a rage from being drunk to me. But
the DUI arrest confirms the guy's problem. I have nothing
against this particular priest. I'm just pointing this out
because if you take the Florida priest as an example, then.....
I go to a strict school in Florida and I am held to a higher
standard than the representatives of the Church in Florida. I
have to be honest and say that another reason I'm pointing this
out is that the Catholics at rhymes with diarrhea always had
little comments against the regular Catholics. I remember this
one old priest saying that we shouldn't visit Miami because even
the Archdiocese there was a den of iniquity like Sodom and
Gomorrah. well, we went to South Beach and it was fun. But the
Catholics ath the school think they are better than other
Catholics. But here is my question. Are they better than a
Pastor who trained in Roman schools around the Pope. If not why
am I held to a more standard than this priest who drives drunk.
I didn't even drive. I just sat there.
Shades of Brett Cavanaugh!
Members there are expected to keep quiet about such things.
Shut up and show respect for the "resident clergy." Even if
some of them are bums, they're the best bums they could find;
so shut up and pretend everything's hunky dory. Let hypocrisy
rule.

They let me post only a few weeks.
[/quote]I think it's almost an honor when they ban people. It
means you don't fit into their model of Christianity. It's time
to worry when you find yourself fitting in with a certain crowd.
I knew -- or strongly suspected -- that I'd get banned if I
posted something. I calmly decided to post it anyway. What was
the point of being there if I couldn't post what I thought and
what I thought people needed to hear? I got suspended! That
was no surprise.
I was beginning to find a lot of what was posted incoherent.
When I visit now, I still find a lot of it incoherent.
Also, what was with this from CC?
http://www.true2ourselves.com/forum/general-discussions/11849-random-t2o-2.html…
I once offered to Mark to created a mass mail-out asking folks
to come back if he would give me access to the database. I've
done that before at work
If they wanted people to return, they could lift all the
suspensions and reverse all the bans. Then email the people and
tell them they were free to post if they wanted. What would
the point be of telling people they could return if their
accounts were frozen? If CC thinks I would answer an email by
saying, "Oh yes, please kind sir, how nice of you to allow me
back," he's sorely mistaken. I'm not going to ask to be
reinstated. I'm not going to beg.
It gets more interesting. Mark was threatening to shut the site
down; and CC rushed to rename a site that already existed, so
the members there now could continue to stay together and post
at a new site. Would you like to join CC's site?

Brad got banned and I think he was banned just today, Kerry.
T2O deleted his last post and so our recording of it is, in
effect, his last angry protest about what has happened at the
site and T2O's final denial of their legacy of political
repression of speech. I doubt that Brad will join this site
given that,if you look at his profile page, he believes most
religious faith is hypocrisy so I doubt that he will come to LGO
any time soon. Given that you've informed him about LGO, I
think that he knows about it and may come by if he changes his
mind.
I'm wondering if I should return to get banned too. Perhaps it
should be done so that Catholic Crusader can enjoy his empty
triumph. For some reason I think that's important to the legacy
T2O has established. I suppose the post that would get me
banned would not last long on the site. Perhaps it would not
last long enough to have a desirable effect to other visitors at
the site.
I think Mark liked Brad and Gray very much. I suppose that when
he hears about it, he will not like what had happened concerning
Brad. I don't think he'll do anything about it. From what I
understand his finances are dismal, and, perhaps, he's
emotionally cutting himself off from the site. If this is the
case the site may fold very soon. He lost many highly desirable
members to his site over the years and I imagine that it may be
haunting to him to think of how far the site has fallen from its
prime.

My main conviction is about all denominatial or organzational
christians ought to come out.
But I am finding out many seem to agree with me lately.
