The meat dress continues to inspire controversy, doesn't it?
They preserved it somewhere. I think someone should have eaten
at least part of it. We may never know if it was well done and
in good taste.
I hope she doesn't show up in a dress made out of miniature oil
pipelines that might leak oil onto the field. It could delay
the game.
Ha, she could come out in a bee hive. That could stop the game
too.

A cricket one-day international between Sri Lanka and South
Africa in Johannesburg was brought to a grinding halt when a
swarm of bees descended on the field and stopped the game for
over an hour.
Groundskeepers and players alike tried their best to contain the
bees. The tried-and-true lets push them in a bucket with a
coke can didnt seem to work, so a player turned his helmet
into a beehive to attract them.
Finally someone called the beekeepers to deal with this mess:
The game resumed, and all was well. There are no reports of mass
stingings.
I'm off to work. I hope the tips are good.

The Falcons lost 34-28. I think they played well. The Patriots
didn't score a touchdown till the end of the third quarter. They
had a field goal. Then they came back in the fourth quarter and
there was a tie 28-28 and won in over time. I hope the Falcons
will be given more positive coverage after this game. They said
this was the first time that the Super Bowl went into over time.
I'm disappointed that the Falcons lost but it's just a game.
As for Gaga, yes I watched it so I could comment on it. There
wasn't a huge political statement made but there were other
things that I noticed that is common with entertainers that I
really don't like. But that's the industry and what they push.

Thank goodness Lady Gaga didn't mention Trump. She gets
points from me for that. I know she has strong political
views, but I think sports should probably be allowed to be
sports.
I heard the score on the radio early on and thought the Falcons
probably had a win in the bag. Then I was in the store and a
fellow that works there said it was close -- and he had a bet on
it for the Patriots. Then he said it was tied. He was almost
delirious when they won.

I give her points too. I was expecting a major political
statement from her. The songs she was singing, the lyrics, I
think were her way of making a political statement. Her fans
knew that and they loved it.
I read a couple of news stories about the game. It looks like
the Falcons are being represented in a worse light more than
ever.

There's still news about the Super Bowl.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/02/13/robert-kraft-downplays-patriots…
[quote]Patriots owner Robert Kraft spent some time with
President Donald Trump this weekend, and seemed unfazed by the
prospect that at least 10 percent of his latest Super Bowl
roster wants no part of a similar offer.
During an appearance on the Today show, Kraft said the fact that
at least six of his players have publicly announced they wont
be joining the team on a White House visit wasnt terribly new.
Well, you know whats interesting, this is our, Im happy to
say, fifth Super Bowl in the last 16 years, Kraft said, via
Phil Perry of CSNNE.com. And every time weve had the privilege
of going to the White House, a dozen of our players dont go.
This is the first time its gotten any media attention. You
know, some of the players have the privilege of going in college
because theyre on National Championship teams, others have
family commitments. But this is America. Were all free to do
whatevers best for us. Were just privileged to be in a
position to be going.
Its not the first time it has gotten attention, however.
Quarterback Tom Brady skipped the last one two years ago when
Barack Obama was in office, but would ostensibly make this trip
since hes friends with President Trump.
But so far, Devin McCourty, Martellus Bennett, Chris Long,
Donta Hightower, Alan Branch and LeGarrette Blount have all
said they wont make the trip, several of them explicitly saying
they didnt feel welcomed there.
Kraft joined President Trump and Japanese prime minister Shinzo
Abe for dinner at the Mar-a-Lago resort on Friday night.
