Our cosy little forum

Members need to remember that we do not have a registered www
domain and as such will hardly ever be found via search engines.
If I had admin status I could easily convert us so that we had a
searchable www URL, but the site is owned by Helen's brother
James and it couldn't/shouldn't be done without his enabling.
In any case there would be little point unless we wanted to
advertise the site via something like Google Adwords, and open
ourselves up to all and sundry....then tolerance certainly would
go 'out of the window'.
If we had a vote I wager it would be heavily in favour of
staying as we are.

Just seen this...
I don't think that we really do - " need to remember that we
don't have a www domain address "
That would only serve us IF the intent was to prove something
or build something here.
I'm not sure about anyone else , but that we never my intent
ever.
You had worked in 'moving the furniture around', spring
cleaning it,
and hanging pictures....which left us with a very nice empty
clean spare-room.
Friends were then invited to use it , it if they wish. Some are
, some aren't . [emoji4]
As far as I can see, it will be used as long as our friends wish
to use it to gather in , chat, discuss their faith and how it
works for them, post their studies , or whatever...
But again...is is just my own point of view. Never ever have
either James or myself been one jot interested in building
numbers.
Ishmael was Abraham's idea in trying to help God...
Isaac was God's plan.
If God builds it , it is good, if man tries to help Him ...we
end up with such as Ishmael.
*Any member can invite new members if they wish...( and also
keep a friendly eye on them if they start to get out of hand
[emoji12] lol )
As already shown...they are no tight rules here. Our hearts
will direct us if we listen.
The members themselves are free to enjoy this 'spare-room' and
make it any way that they wish.
As usual...this is just my two cents ...

Helen, you add your "two cents" as if they might be contrary to
mine, but I'm with your two cents 100%. All was doing was
explaining the difference (for those who might not know) between
an non domain forum and a domain name forum (which almost all of
the others are).
I think I did finish my post by suggesting that if we took a
vote everyone would want us to stay as we are.

Take no notice of me Mike . These days I have no idea whether I
am on my head or my heals.
This flu has hit me very hard, I feel like I'm made out of
rubber , especially my legs, and my head feel full of wool.
I haven't been this bad with a flu for many a long year .

Get Dave to confiscate your internet appliances until you
recover.
Meantime I'll pray for similar constraint (and rapid healing) by
the loving hand of our Saviour.

Helen, one of my sisters has been sick with the flu for about 9
days now...she thought she was starting to feel better only for
it to get worse yesterday! I am praying for your recovery...get
some rest.
