New to this forum and new to collecting Lionel in my advanced |

years though having received my very first Lionel train set 55 |
|
years ago. |
|
I was looking at engine numbers and was wondering if there is a |

definitive guide to year of manufacture etc.? |

You should pick up the Standard Catalog of Lionel Trains books. |
|
They are a great reference for dates and variations etc. |

Thanks for the suggestion ChiefMcFuz! Ordered a post-war book |
|
today off of Abebooks today as well as some Greenberg's and |
|
McComas/Tuohy pre and postwar. |
|
That should get me going for awhile. |
