-GT Car Viewer v0.1b-
This tool is able to preview cars from Gran Turismo
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gran_Turismo_(video_game),
right
now it only support CARCADE.DAT that contains cars from arcade
mode. The tools also provide option to export 3D model of an car
to OBJ[/URL] and texture as a single 256x256

Note: Theres some bugs with some polygons in some cars that need
to be fixed.

Hi! congratulations for your abilities to create awesome tools
like this!
unfortunately Datafilehost blocked the download for inactivity
(i don't believe) or due to not complying with their terms. Is
there another way to obtain this file?
Thanks!

Hi [member=8]bitulano[/member] and thanks for the good words,
the reason most likely that datafilehost removed tool has
something to do with the terms rather for inactivity reason
cause the tool has been downloaded continuously, anyway I've
reuploaded the tool to the mediafire and now it will be there
for a long time.

Japanese CARCADE.DAT for some weird reason had three DB7
Volantes in a row while Corvette Sting Ray has been left out.
May be a bug due to DAT being from non-European version of the
game.
Also, I'd like to notice that models from CARCADE.DAT are most
likely to be used in Arcade Mode's car selection screen only, as
they lack night versions (both textures and models) and textures
have a lot of free space which is most likely reserved for lower
LODs' textures (like in GT2's cars' textures).
Anyway, CAR.DAT's support is a must for this tool. It's also sad
for me that ZModeler 1.0.7 doesn't support OBJ file format, so
I'd also like to know if it's possible to make this tool also
export meshes as Z3Ds, so I could avoid using ZModeler2, which
I'll have to use solely for converting purposes.

Some critique regarding model and texture export feature:
- Meshes lack wheels (yeah, it's a pretty vital flaw).
- Textures lack alpha channel (same)
- The exported model is 10 times larger in scale than it should
be (compared to the car mesh from PC version of NFS3; large size
of the mesh makes the work on it in ZMod1.0.7 highly
uncomfortable as well)
- The mesh's front "looks" to the left and has to be turned 90
degrees to the right to be set in the normal position.
Please note this when working on the tool's export feature. ;)

The lack of wheels might be a problem.
I could live with manually having to set the alpha channel on
every texture..tho it would be time consuming.
Everything else isn't much of a problem.

Considering the success with GT2 Car Viewer, are you going to do
the CAR.DAT support here? I can send you the files (including
one from Test Drive demo, the earliest GT1 build) if you want.
Also Sirius-R, the Corvette Stingray (or the NB Roadster) wasn't
in NTSC-J version of the game.

Actually yes I was thinking to update GTCV so it could open
CAR.DAT as well, can't say exactly when I'm gonna do it though
or even if I'm gonna do it at all, we'll see..
Sure send me those files I would appreciate that ;)
Sorry for the late reply...
