Supernatural Adventures

In the tiny village of Homer, Nebraska (population about 550),
married young men have been mysteriously dying; beheaded and
tossed into the river with no heads to be found. Old legends say
it is because of a woman, exacting her revenge on the jealous
husband who killed her and her lover. The tale goes, that a
Sioux fell in love with another man because she was unhappy in
her marriage to a trapper. One night, the husband came home
early from a hunting trip and surprised the secret couple.
Angered at this, the husband killed her lover and then beheaded
his wife, throwing her body down the mountain where it was found
in the river. Superstitions say that you can see a headless
woman in white, wandering the mountain road, wailing as she
looks for her head.
These mysterious deaths are what have drawn the brothers Dean
and Sam Winchester to this sleepy little village in the midwest.
The brothers are here to investigate the deaths, posing as FBI
agents, as always. But they aren't the only ones being drawn to
Homer. The Ghost Adventures crew have decided to come
investigate the paranormal activity as well. Zak Bagans and
Aaron Goodwin have come prepared, as always, armed with the best
gear and their own personal cameras.

Dean was driving his Impala down Highway 77, heading towards
Homer, NE. He was tapping his fingers along the steering wheel
and bobbing his head along to the beat of Blue Oyster Cult on
the radio.
"Okay Dean, this will take us straight to Homer..." Sam said as
he finished reading the map. The taller (albeit younger) brother
pushed hair out of his eyes and relaxed back into his seat. "How
did you find this place again?" He turned his gaze back to the
older Winchester.
"I was checking some forums, no biggie," he replied, eyes
scanning ahead of him. "Those Ghostfacer kids have this huge
list of 'haunted placed' up, so I checked that and
cross-referenced local obituaries and missing persons listings."
"I'm impressed," Sam laughed. "We're still a few hours out, so
I'm gonna take a nap. Wake me when we get there," he yawned,
leaning back in his seat. Dean shook his head with a smirk.
"Oh I'll wake you up all right, Sammy...."

Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, two members of the Ghost Adventures
Crew were reviewing tweets about a haunted location in Homer,NE.
"G. .We so need to go here. ." Aaron Goodwin chimed over the
excited tapping of his finger on the computer screen. Zak Bagans
sat with his arms folded, looking over the shoulder to see what
he was getting himself into. His mind was elsewhere but
occasionally there was a nod of confirmation. "Hmm. ."
Aaron took the silent agreement and decided to begin packing the
equipment. "Guess Homer it is.",Zak replied and began to loosen
the tight grip he had on his iPhone. He had been preoccupied for
a while, what was on his mind is what everyone thought but no
one dared to ask.

Unknown to either crew at the moment, a girl in her early
twenties was closing up the local diner she worked at. The bar
served food at night until 1am, so they closed their doors at
8pm. Her long dark brown hair was in a messy bun with bangs
falling into her equally dark eyes. Her uniform was a little
wrinkled and stained, but she was going to wash it since she had
the next day off.
"I can't wait to shower," Sophie muttered to herself as she
headed to her car. She drove a Jeep Cherokee. Unlocking the
door, she climbed in and put the key in the ignition, then
turned it. Nothing happened, save for the clicking sound.
"Nooo," she groaned, hitting the steering wheel. "Not again!"
She tried it again. Still nothing, and the parking lot was empty
save for her vehicle. Unfortunately for her, she was just off
the highway too, so help wasn't close by. She sighed and checked
her phone, but it had died sometime before. She muttered a curse
under her breath and climbed back out, locking the doors. "Time
to walk..." she murmured.

As the night seemed to go on forever, a young woman in her
mid-twenties sat outside her dorm room tweeting away. Typical of
her, social anxiety ruled her reality so this was a way to make
friends and also be herself. She stood up,allowing her red hair
to fall down to just below her bra strap.
"Wonder what Zak Bagans is up to..." she said skimming through
his timeline. He had not yet posted anything but he did mention
Homer. This was an event she couldn't miss.

It was chilly. Sophie shuddered and held herself tightly as she
walked, breath coming out in little puffs. She looked around
nervously, she hated being out so late and alone. The town
legends were something she scoffed at, it was the dangers of the
real men she feared.
