1- Isn't that kinda just the point of the PVP side?
2- You were the one attacking my reputation, sir. I never said a
negative word about you.
3- it took HotRod three hours, with admin tools, to try to
unravel the situation.... and he'll vouch for the fact that the
entire time I told him I didn't think it was the person you're
so valiantly defending. And I stayed on the entire time to help
make sure, even though I was just logging out for the night when
he first showed up.
Hate me all you want. The fact remains you have no reason to,
aside from secondhand information. At least to to know me to
find a real reason to want me dead. According to my ex
girlfriends, there's a bunch of them.

I think my reason is perfectly valid, I don't like the way you
handled the entire situation for one. Another thing is you seem
very eager to bite off anyone's head for the most minor
perceived infraction against you. I find your behavior most
annoying and for that reason you're KOS to me, yes even though I
can only enforce such judgement on the PVP side. I thought I'd
give you fair warning to keep a gun on you and your head on a
swivel should you ever dare to venture into the South side when
I'm on.

Context is important. You're missing it, and using second hand
information. This is long, to explain context, and I'll
understand if you don't read it, but if you want to know a
situation to properly respond to it, you will.
Our group has had THREE bases broken into in the north. One in
b88, and two in A15b104- which means two in as many days.
One of our players on our team has Asperger's Syndrome,
currently classed as "High Functioning Autism." While she
passes for nuerologically normal most of the time- and indeed
has a $50k+ occupation- this means that her brain defaults to
the worst thing that *has* happened* in a situation is likely to
happen all the time. Imagine that for a moment. This player
specifically plays on this server because of its reputation and
the safety of the PVE North.
This player is also a rookie gamer, with less than a quarter of
the hours of the person you were trying to protect.
Now, I want you to imagine that someone with that condition has
seen all their food resources stolen TWICE. I want you to
imagine what it would feel like to try to play a Survival game
where your brain is telling you that you will never again have a
safe place, you will never again have food, and you're going to
starve to death no matter what you do.
Now imagine that you took a vacation day just to try to play A15
with your friends.... and you showed up to find out that you had
no food, would never have food, and were going to starve,
because YOU are the only person it's okay to steal from in the
north.
Now imagine that, as that player, you walk out of your already
broken into and stolen from base, to find another player in
front of you, nearly in melee range.
I took over her PC, so that I could diffuse the situation. I
spoke in an authoritative voice, asking someone who had no
authority to be there why they were there. Also, the person in
question was a possible suspect in the first break-in attempt.
Why were that player's first statements ignored? Because they
occured while the *real* rookie was still on the computer, and
she doesn't often check the chatbox- especially when she's sure
she's about to be killed, because the PVE North protections
don't apply to her. When the player in question gave a
believable response, they were informed that this base had just
been broken into today, that we weren't saying they did it, but
they needed to leave the structure now- in part because we were
trying to not contaminate the code of the crime scene any
further. We stepped aside, and they were allowed to leave a
place they had no authority to be without incident.
By the way, as far as the condition of the base, there were only
two ways in- nerdpoling, or walking through the currently open
doorway, because *we had a member in the base removing items
from it*. The base has been heavily modified from original POI
status, with over 400 blocks and 45 torches added.
At no time did I raise my voice- either on mic or in chat- to
the person in question, or yourself. At no time did I use
profanity to either the person in question, or yourself. At no
time did I begin dialog about the incident, only replied to
dialog from the person in question or yourself- including when
you decided to engage the conversation in yet another forum.
You cannot make the same claims, as even other players asked you
politely to drop the conversation, to stop shouting, and also
warned you that your responses were unacceptable.
Context is everything.

between us two players has come to a peaceful agreement and we
have set aside our differences in the name of friendly and fun
play.

TL;DR
I walked into a base that looked to have been attacked by
zombies and possibly abandoned. Said hello in chat to someone
off to one side, who did not respond. Walked to the back of the
facility to see what was up, turned around to come back out, got
yelled at for "invading" the base. Explained I wasn't the one
who broke in and there was a wide gap I walked through, not a
door. Was told I fucking WAS the person who broke in. Explained
again I had just logged in not long ago and wandered over here,
had no idea what was going on. Told to leave. Left very confused
and a little shaken, as this is only maybe my third log in on
this server and had never run into anyone on what I thought was
a "friendly, no PvP" server/map area.
I am very sorry about your base. After you explained, I was
about to offer to help shore it up when I got accused of being
the griefer, and those two emotions--one of empathy and wanting
to help vs. being accused of being the person who did it--really
kinda freaked ME out. I wasn't trying to inflame the situation,
was genuinely confused being new to 7DTD servers and thinking
this was a "friendly" one...and then it apparently made even
more drama. Which is exactly what I wanted to avoid choosing
this server!
I don't blame you for feeling contentious and protective,
Elitist, having just been so violated. And I am also grateful
Taylor spoke up for me and calmed me down a bit in chat, because
I was on the verge of quitting then and there. I came to this
server to AVOID PvP, so to be accused of it within the first day
or two of being in game was disheartening.
I hope I am able to meet both of you on better terms in the
future. And I hope you were able to root out the culprit,
Elitist, and get some justice for what happened.

No worries Tribal. I'm glad the situation resolved in a way
where no players we lost due to the actions of a person/small
group who fail to see the long-term ramifications of their
actions.
For the record, the reason I didn't want you to help repair is
it gives you a bigger footprint in the crimescene. Every block a
person touches affects the code, and I wanted to try to make
Hotrod's job as simple as possible. Apparently 7dtd is woefully
unequipped as far as Admin tools goes for finding this sort of
stuff- we had what I would have thought (form my time as admin
on other MMO environments) was a smoking gun, but in this game
it literally did no good.
As soon as I get the new base done, I'm planning an apology gift
for you... it's just taking forever because I had to spend a
whole day trying to build a forever base without calipers, while
shuttling stuff from one base to the next, and trying to keep
someone else from quitting the server (and the game as a whole)
as well.
In the words of RunNPCs, "I hate jerks. They never realize how
far reaching the effects of their selfishness goes."

Drama ended. Take this to PMs next time or ask me to mediate. If
this hadn't resolved in a mature fashion you all would have
faced punishment. I do not want drama anywhere.
Declare war if you want and I appreciate you using the correct
section; however, if it is for personal reasons keep them to
yourself and just go kill them.
If it was someone I didn't like I wouldn't even warn them.
And yes there are limits to what I can do; the best information
is:
Timeliness. Tell me as soon as you can.
Time when it happened (between 9 and 11 est)
Specific numbers or items. (chemistry station, 285 magnum grip,
purple sweatshirt, 48 raw meat) the more specific the better.
Location of course.
Anyone you are friends with who have access to your stuff that
you want crossed off the list and please check with them first.
