New engine

Ok, time to spill.. it is a 16v motor with some interesting
mods. I almost got my hands on a quaife box too with a 1.6 gti
final drive but the guy decided to hang on to it in the end.
I will post up a full spec when I have the engine here. Things I
do know so far are it has had some quite aggressive porting, de
shrouded valves, arp con rod bolts, fully balanced everything,
2.0 bottom end. Still waiting to hear about the cams but I do
know they are lumpier than the standard items.
Comes with fuel injection system, manifolds, ecu and loom, a
scraper in the sump (not sure what that is tho), fuel pump,
exhaust..
there is more info that I cant remember but I am getting the
head today to inspect properly at the workshop before final
decision to buy is made.
I will rebuild the 8v motor and hopefully send the head to Jason
for him to do his thing.. but I have money flying out in all
directions just now and I need to focus on one thing at a time
lol
Im interested in the questions you guys have about the 16v unit
as Im not too up to speed on them.. it's a kr by the way, not
ABF.
Cheers!

Stu,
The scraper refered to may just be a diesel windage tray that
has been fitted like the one pictured in my RE1900 Mk1 thread.
Bit confused how it can be a 2ltr KR? I would assume that
someone has dropped a 2ltr crank in to a 1.8 bottom end, but I
thought these fouled the auxilary shaft when fitted....but I may
be wrong!
