Spring 2020 Spanking Report

This actually happened Saturday, so I need to record it before
it slips my mind.
While I have really tried to be understanding and flexible, some
of the boys have had ongoing problems, and I feel less able to
give way on those. One of them came to a head last Saturday,
while we were doing the regular cleaning chores.
You see, Chance, has a bad habit of not putting things back
where they go. I'm not talking about putting milk or bread back
on the wrong shelf, I'm talking about getting something out like
cleaning supplies, then just leaving them. As I said, this has
been an ongoing problem with him that we've tried to address in
the past.
Let me quickly say that I never expected to paddle or spank
Chance in any way. He's twenty years old now, and he's
basically a good kid. Over the seven months or so that he's
lived with us, I've addressed the few problems we've had with
variations of short-term grounding, minor restrictions, or extra
chores. The problem at this point is, we're all pretty much
already grounded, we're all having to do extra chores, and the
privileges we have right now are very important. Chance pretty
much begged for the paddling option like I'd give the other
boys.
It really wasn't a huge deal, but he left the bathroom cleaners
and scrubbing pads in the half-bath after he'd cleaned it. As I
said, if he hadn't been in trouble for the same thing in the
past, I would have let it go with just a verbal warning.
Unfortunately, he knew he was in trouble as soon as I asked him
about it, which made it kind of hard for me to back off.
It wasn't a huge deal - two swats on his boxers with the medium
Lexan. He's not especially shy, though he seemed a bit
uncomfortable at me having to help him get into the proper
position. Once he was in position, he stayed there until I had
given both swats and told him he could stand. He was loud, but
he didn't cry. He was pretty slow and stiff when he stood up
and fixed his clothes, but he wasn't overly dramatic about it.
I'd say he took it pretty well for his first CP in over 8 years.

I would have expected the first boy to get in trouble during the
quarantine would have been one of the younger ones! But well,
since he asked for it in lieu of some kind of restriction...
It's true that with so many people spending so much time
together, respecting some basic rules is necessary.

Interesting update. Sounds like he was kind of asking for it,
figuratively and literally. Why was it done on boxers vs. bare?
Also, what did his boxers look like?

Two swats on boxers is actually a pretty standard 'first
offense' swat for milder trouble with the older boys. Normally
with the high school boys, it's two bare or three on the boxers,
but with the high school boys, most of them have a history.
Also, to be honest, I was giving him a bit of a break, since he
hasn't had ANY CP in 8 years or so.
Chance prefers Hanes boxers. The ones he wears don't have a
labelled waistband, just a tag on the left hip. They fit kind
of snug, and all the ones he has right now are shades of blue or
gray. I believe he was wearing the baby blue ones that day.

As I've said before, we're kind of in a neutral ground right now
- new territory. I am trying to keep the boys on a schedule,
but also trying to get them some input into that schedule and
some... leeway into when things have to be done. There are a
number of reasons for that. A big one is that, while I have
three separate routers running right now, we have 24 people in
the house - all of them needing to use the internet. Some of
that isn't a huge problem, but you do have to consider things
like trying to stream classes, movies, and play online games all
at once. There is a reason people can't do whatever they want
when they want, especially because there are some classes that
have to be 'attended' online at a particular time.
I'm having some difficulty telling days apart right now, but I
think this actually occurred last Tuesday, but I'm not positive.
At 9 and 10, C&C both had bedtimes about 8:30. Both of them
seem to work on about ten hours of sleep, so by putting them
down at 8:30, they were able to wake up on their own 90% of the
time by 6:45, which is when we need them to get going. I would
have given Connor a slightly later bedtime, but the two of them
tend to do all their 'getting ready' together - often even
bathing or showering together - and Curtis doesn't really seem
to need more sleep, so it tends to work out and neither of them
complain about it.
Of course, with the schools closed, we haven't been enforcing
that. However, the younger boys - in that age old fear of
missing something - have been sitting up in the living room
until they fall asleep there.
Let's be clear, that's not a huge problem. Depending on how
things go that evening, it might mean they miss a bath or
brushing their teeth, but I don't see it as earth-shaking.
However, last week it happened three times in a row. On Tuesday
evening, I knew for sure the boys had been snacking and hadn't
brushed their teeth, and that they'd been outside and needed a
bath. When I saw them starting to fall asleep, I told them to
go get ready for bed.
They protested.
Making a long story short (I know, too late), they continued to
protest, refusing to mind after a couple of repeats and one
warning. At that point, I told them they'd blown it, and I took
them to their room.
It wasn't horrible. I stripped them both down for their baths,
then let Connor stand their and watch while I gave Curtis a
thorough hand spanking. It wasn't horrible, but it was enough
to have him crying hard. Then Connor got the same thing. I put
the two of them against the wall of the bathroom while I got
their bath drawn, then I plopped them in the tub and scrubbed
them both myself (not rough enough to draw complaints, but doing
a thorough job and not playing around). After that, they
brushed their teeth while I got clean underwear for them.
Probably from their final warning to tucking them in wasn't
fifteen minutes, but it was time with some very cute, red little
rears on display. Like their big brothers, they've been paying
a lot more attention to what Dad says since then.

I think it's not 'more strict', I think it's me and the boys
trying to find the right middle ground for this situation.
Unfortunately that kind of thing almost always results in boys
wanting to test things too far, and dads having to bring them
back in line.
