Next week is my last week of teaching, at least on a regular |
|
schedule, like I have been. I've already promised to come back |
|
next year to do a few seminar-type classes on different types of |
|
literature and reading for boys. |
|
Because BCA is all grades, things work a bit differently for us |
|
than the public schools. On the other hand, the high school, |
|
middle school, and elementary are mostly separated from each |
|
other. I mention this, because today starts finals for the high |
|
school. In my case, we've been doing presentations all week, |
|
either themes, book reports, or both. Today, I have the kids |
|
doing work sheets as a review for the final - something they can |
|
take home with them to study. We're about to go over it now, so |
|
everyone is sure what I'm expecting, if not of the actual |
|
answers. |
|
I'm feeling kind of torn right now. I've been really busy most |
|
of this year , especially this semester. It's worn me down a |
|
lot. On the other hand, even without the opportunities to |
|
paddle, I've enjoyed the time I've spent teaching. On the other |
|
other hand, while I wish Josh had stayed with me, I've enjoyed |
|
being back in the comic stores. While summer will be nice - |
|
spending time with the kids outside the school environment, it's |
|
also going to be nice to get back to a looser schedule and |
|
having a bit more time to myself. |
|
As for now, let's see if I can pour just a bit more knowledge |
|
into a bunch of hyperactive heads. |

I love how things are working out for you. It's good to have |
|
options. Like this but also like that. This works but also |
|
that. Now you know over the summer, more opportunities will |
|
spring up and you will have to make decisions on What you can |
|
do, What you want to do, and What you have to do. You are a man |
|
blessed with multiple talents and skills. That type of man is |
|
always in high demand. Have fun this summer. Enjoy the |
|
scenery. Enjoy some time to yourself. Enjoy the time with the |
|
boys. |
