Parker Schuller Wells |

I don't talk about Parker much. While he used to get in a fair |
|
amount of trouble for fairly small, not to serious type things - |
|
often just being forgetful or testing the limits a bit to far, |
|
he's pretty well behaved, he's a good student, and his hobbies |
|
keep him really busy. |
|
One of the big things about Parker is that he's in a committed, |
|
gay relationship these days, though I'm not convinced that he's |
|
not at least bi; he just happens to be in love with a guy right |
|
now. His boyfriend is in college, and a bit more than 2 years |
|
older than him. His boyfriend, Sean Strouse, still lives near |
|
here, but attends school about 90 miles away. They're able to |
|
talk and see each other at holidays, but visits between that are |
|
few and far between, especially since Parker has been really |
|
busy with his senior year. |
|
The two of them have had a fairly big fight in the last month or |
|
so. |
|
You see, Parker was accepted to his first choice of |
|
universities, which is great, but it's out of state, so there |
|
won't be anymore weekend visits. It would be an understatement |
|
to say that Sean was disappointed, especially since Parker had |
|
applied to the same school Sean attends. I love Sean like he |
|
was my own kid, and I've talked with the two of them - alone and |
|
together - about this type of thing. I think Sean was still |
|
hurt that Parker chose to go elsewhere, and Parker was hurt that |
|
Sean wasn't as supportive as he might have been. |
|
As of last night, the two of them seem to have made up. It was |
|
bugging Sean enough that he drove out to visit, and they were |
|
able to work it out. As far as I know, they're still dating, |
|
but I'm not sure if they intend to keep that up later, or how |
|
they intend to deal with it. |
|
On the other hand, Parker did get into his first choice of |
|
schools, which is one of the top schools in the country in his |
|
chosen field of film. You can imagine that he's very excited, |
|
and we've started discussing how we're going to handle |
|
everything when the time comes for him to head out there. I'll |
|
miss him of course, but his mom was also a bit upset - though |
|
she did a better job of hiding it than Sean did. |

|
Aww young love ... I hope everything works for the best in what |
|
ever it comes to be... good luck to them both |
|
I�m happy mom handled it better but can understand being sad |
|
about him being far away .... I think letting our babies go off |
|
is one of the hardest things as a parent but yet the most |
|
rewarding knowing they are doing something that will better them |
|
and love... |
