Forgotten Hope 2

Well, my first post here. And after that kind New Year message,
I felt a bit ashamed about not adding some to this nice
community, so, there it goes...
I think this "Other Games Interests" board is an awesome idea!
And of course I couldn't help myself but to say a few words
about my favorite game: Forgotten Hope 2.
Very well known Battlefield 2 mod, kicking ass for more than 10
years now. And still getting better. If you are looking for a
nice historical experience on the battlefields of WW2, you guys
surely should try it: it has a great selection of maps, plus
additional content created by the community. I'm a offline
player, but the online servers are still there, with a
reasonable number of players.

You Sir are very welcome here! And your comments and post are
VERY welcome. We strive for friendship here and you certainly
seem like a good friend indeed!
I actually have played forgotten hope, though it's been quite
some time since I played (you might recall the
circumstances...my cancer/heart attack then while at the
hospital a brutal storm blew my computer away at home with a
lightning strike... 3 strikes and your out, syndrome I suppose!
:'( )
At the time I was playing it several of my old friends and I had
formed a battle group called the AVG and were playing it
through a (at the time) new technology called 'tunneling', a
form of net connection which these days I no longer hear of but
at the time gave good results for our multiplayer games.
Anyway... we had GREAT fun with this game, Forgotten Hope! I
must get it again though my old companions have long vanished
into the internet black hole it would be fun to replay this and
remember our good times.

Glad to see some FH2 Pals here, the cool is, FH2 outlived being
modded Today by cool people,
both for Multi and Offline faction. I'm an Offliner,I used to
play FH2 with my Buddy on LAN and
it was a real brick. sadly I'm a Noob when it comes to Online
gaming, I never managed to play online.
Although Offline fits me better, as I'm used to tweak stuff in
Maps for my personal Offline fun.
Change Assets or add custom Objects. Decent modding is easy, as
it's Python or script stuff, Texteditor and Zip file fun.
I have a custom FH2 with Askaris for Keren Map or a tweaked
Gazala with french colonial Soldier. Just scriptwork.
Further I tweaked a few custom Kits, Textures, Tanks, additional
stuff, learned how to add AI to vehicles and Weapons,
import from other Mods.
Thei Battlefield Singleplayer Forum holds a knowledge Base open
for public, modding BF2 is no secret kept in vaults,
the Tools are free and accessable, only kneel in and fun is on
your side.
FH2 is for not so nitpickingly People having fun with an old
shooter Engine and a great storage of assets.
It brings BF2 to a new level and WW2, what do you want more.

I played La Horgne with the Spahi Brigade, pressing off the
Jerry Attack.
Absolutely gorgeous. French tanks, authentic Weaponry, a French
Spahi Faction, what? Yupp.
Flavion I played too, really quality Coop and Navmesh, the
Detail on scenery fantastic.
It's really immersive having proper french Tanks and getting a
feel for them.
Some are easy Meat others are so huge and armoured up, you feel
like rambo.
