Mission results 05/21/2020

Saving the Motherland
Flown 21st May 2020 BAT383
Results Secondary Target Complete 50 points.
Debrief
Followed my leader to protect the Il2s and after a few minutes
we challenged several Bf109s that swept in to get at the
bombers. We initially stayed high before dropping down as one
flight. I singled out one 109 and hit him a few times but not
fatally. I ran out of ammo after shooting at another 109, again
with no result. Interestingly my latter target turned on me if I
pulled away so I stayed on his tail even though I had no ammo.
As far as I could tell we didn't lose any bombers. Survived for
a change.

Mission Results for week 5-20-2020 to 5-27-2020
Member Name/callsign: E69_Haukka
Actual Mission Name: Saving the Motherland
Date single mission actually flown: 05/21/20
Results/description of mission: An enemy plane was destroyed.
Mission Score: 70
Misc. Info if desired:
This is the typical mission where I know that everything will go
wrong from the beginning. To begin this brief description, I
will say that my comrades seemed to be in a great hurry, so they
did not stop to wait for me. I ran after them like the dog
behind their master's car. When two minutes passed, they made a
wide turn, while other I-16s passed below us. I soon began to
see isolated battles, but my plane is slow and cannot reach
them. It seems that now all the pigeons escape from this fat
dog! Soon after, a Russian fighter shoots to a 109 in a vertical
maneuver. There I enter, intercepting and firing awkwardly. When
the German pilot jumped out of his smoking plane, I fired again
and killed him. It was an unfortunate accident. I hoped that at
least this German would hit the ground to be captured. The
anti-aircraft artillery reportedly hit my engine, which stopped
shortly thereafter. I had to make an emergency landing in the
snowy steppe.
Please come rescue me, it's cold and the vodka is over!

VODKA .
Should be there in about two hours... Build a snow cave and a
small fire. Make a vent in the roof of the cave..
Be save.. ;)

Love to fly the I-16. And in this mission, the beautiful winter
skin is great:

Began mission by looking for Haukka while IL-2s were attacking
their ground target. Could not find him so did my patriotic duty
and drank Vodka myself while praising Stalin. Some ME-109s
arrived and I got one. Then saw some Hs-123s. I know these
planes from SCW campaigns I have flown and I know that they are
no match for the I-16. I caught one with a cannon round and he
broke into bits, but unfortunately I collided with the debris
and did what is fast becoming my signature bail out.

Now I am stuck here. Still have vodka, but as a SCW vet, I'm
dying for some Rioja Gran Reserva.

Congrats Von. I am trying to find a pilot sober enough to come
get you but it is so darn cold they are all getting drunk to
keep warm. I hope you come across Haukka so we can pick you both
up in one run. Remember to keep your safe distance when you find
him. My mechanic has filled the fuel tanks with vodka so my
plane is raring to go!

Is there a torpedo bomber mission. I need to practice that type.
Maybe a train busting mission.
Or scramble while airfield under attack.
