Is Homecoming Point right for you? |

|
Our home is a community that we want to share with people. |
|
However, personal experience has taught the administration that |
|
not every site is right for every person. So, we�ve created this |
|
thread to try and give prospective members an idea about what |
|
this site is and is not. |
|
Homecoming Point is: |
|

|
[li]A community. We�re always excited when new people arrive, |
|
and eager to make new friends![/li] |
|
[li]For all ages. We have adults, young adults, teens and kids! |
|
We class young adults as a separate group, because we don�t |
|
think that 18 is a magic number. Our young adults are valued |
|
members of the community, but we recognise they�re not always |
|
ready for the same responsibility as older adults.[/li] |
|
[li]Inclusive. Whether you�re coming on your own or with a whole |
|
host of family doesn�t matter to us. You�ll find that as long as |
|
you�re willing to reach out or jump in, there's always people to |
|
interact with.[/li] |
|
[li]Easygoing. No-one�s here to jump on kids for being kids. If |
|
you want a place that�s accepting of exploring and playing, |
|
that�s us. We do have rules in place for the sake of safety, |
|
though![/li] |
|
[li]Quality over quantity. We don't have a million posts a day |
|
most of the time, and that's okay with us. We prefer to take the |
|
time to post thoughtfully.[/li] |
|
[li]Fun! At least, we think so. [/li] |
|

Homecoming Point is not: |
|

|
[li]Primarily about discipline. While the adults in the |
|
community care about children�s care and well-being and will |
|
discipline children as they see fit, they are not here to serve |
|
as walking-talking discipline dispensers. They�re far more than |
|
that![/li] |
|
[li]Diaper friendly. We only accept applications from children |
|
aged 4+, in part because we are not comfortable with any aspect |
|
of diaper/potty play (including medical procedures such as |
|
enemas and rectal temperatures). [/li] |
|
[li]A place where you will be instantly adopted. There are |
|
plenty of opportunities for kids to interact with adults, but |
|
the adults in our community believe that forming a close bond |
|
takes time.[/li] |
|
