Welcome to the first lesson of Dark Transfiguration. We will be |
|
starting with some theory before going into practicals. Using |
|
your second text (Wiki), I want you to tell me the basic |
|
categories of Transfiguration with a small summary of what they |
|
are. Then, explain the limitations and dangers of |
|
transfiguration. Even those who want to wreck havok need to know |
|
how to do it (and fix it if you do it to yourself). (At least 50 |
|
words.) |

Lesson 2: There are ways that light magic can be used for evil |
|
purposes. Using your first text (Lexicon), I want you to tell me |
|
about an ancient witch that used Transfiguration for nefarious |
|
purposes. What makes her use of transfiguration so bad or |
|
different from other uses? Tell me what classification of |
|
Transfiguration she used and give me an example of how someone |
|
could use it for good. (70 words) |

Lesson 3: Using the list of transfigurations in text 1, pick |
|
three from the list and explain how they could be used for the |
|
Dark. (50 words) |

Lesson 4: You will be doing your first practical today. These |
|
are some low level spells that I want you to use in an evil way. |
|
We will be using realistic dummies that would react like real |
|
people would react. |
|
1. Bluebell Flames/Lacarnum Inflamarae- Perform the spells and |
|
tell me how they negatively affect the dummies. Also, tell me |
|
the incantations and what kind of Transfiguration they are. |
|
2. Ebublio Jinx- Do the same as the above. |
|
3. Butterfly-conjuring spell- I know that this doesn't seem very |
|
dangerous but it can be used. Tell me all that you can about it |
|
and tell me how this could be used in battle. |
|
(70-100 words in all) |
|
Remember that next week is your exam. |
