The Shadow of Falkreath
By: Eilik Date: July 23, 2013, 12:46 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
It is night, close to dawn. The elk graze peacefully around the
town's borders as the occupants are drawn to the center,
focusing on one man giving a speech. He appears to be their
leader, a mayor of a sort. This being knows no difference, the
people's politics around here are as foreign to him as the cold
landscape itself. The sound of snapping twigs as he makes his
way toward the congregation, hands in the pockets of his jacket.
He didn't know where he was, nor did he care, the man had found
himself here and an organization simply hired him. It had been
strange, they called themselves the Dark Brotherhood, claimed to
work in the shadows, but they were so easy to find. Either way,
they were quick to convince of his initiation after one had
almost fallen to his blade.
The people parted, allowing the man a better view of the speech.
One woman smiled and noticed he was a stranger, but she didn't
mind, she was happy to fill new people in on the going ons of
their small town. She was the first to fall, of which a few
people scream, unsure as to what just happened. One moment she
was chattering to this man with the black skin, the next she was
on the ground, throat cut wide open and it appeared a rough
breeze blew from her body into the man that just kept walking.
Or at least, he had kept walking, those who peered after him
would find no trace, it would seem he had just vanished. There
was a flash of purple and the man was behind the one making the
speech. A gurgling sound and a purple, spiritual sword seemed to
be exposed from the 'mayor's' gut. He lets out a gurgle, there's
that breeze again, and the dark figure lets out a grin, the
sword vanishing.
A guard runs up, raising his sword and shield, "Halt! you're
breaking the law!" A flash of blue and the man lowers his
weapons, scratching his head, what was he doing again? A flash
of red and suddenly another guard begins attacking people at
random, screaming something about how everyone here is a
criminal. The man, finally, opens his mouth.
"Law? Please, I'm above the law." He holds his hand out, goggles
set over his eyes as a bow materializes in a purple flash. A
smirk appears on his black lips, "I think while I stay here,
this little town will entertain me." He pulls back the arrow,
letting it fly into the guard that had forgotten what he was
doing. The arrow lodges itself in his temple, the body falling
to the ground. The panic hit long before there was a thump, and
before anyone knew it, no trace was left of the man, the arrow
disappeared, the man was gone. far off in the distance, there
was a laugh.
"Man, I've missed being a dick."
