Seeing The World : Chapter One - The Lands.
By: Overlordnim Date: May 5, 2013, 5:05 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Jack and Tenish would find themselves open now on the Devil's
mass of Farmlands and open burnt plains. These lands looked like
they caught aflame for years, the grass and dirt dark red, black
and gray, like ash. The trees, the few there were, were twisted
and dead, standing for thousands of years like this, no longer
growing, and decaying away. The road was dirt, and went out
through the lands, as a better way to travel on then the spiny
grass, and for carts and wagons so it would be more smooth..
Most likely while on this road, Tenish and Jack would pass many
old farms, Bangles and odd looking sheep on them, all ran by
pour Devil families, that looked ill, or about to fall dead from
hunger. The road they walked would go on for many hours before
they saw a change in the way it looked.

Tenish would ignore the ill people, he held no interest in them,
in fact, the only time he would stop is if someone stopped them
or Jack wanted to do something. Other than that he would walk
silently, head bowed down a bit, eyes closed as he more-so
listened to the sounds around them as they walked, his feet
wouldn't stray from the road strangely enough, he seemed to be
able to follow it well, even without looking around.

It would be a few hours, as described, as they started walking
into another grassy plain, this one was a plain, until it ran
into thick forests, the trees so healthy and the grass so
green.. This may have at one point been apart of the devil's
plains but was parted when the area was burned away.
The road would follow into the deep forests, and as Jack and
Tenish walked they would see much wild life, a good sign
actually, they would sooner or later come across a river, an old
bridge running across it, they would see many fish that re
symbol salmon, and down the rivers on both sides... an odd
amount of brown bears... They looked up to glance at the two,
but did nothing really... Jack would be grumbling something
about scary bears, and how polar bear beasts use to chase him
when he was a pup....

Tenish would snort, shaking his head, "Telling They're obviously
not as bad as the ones up home. they would've been after us by
now." He would finally open his eyes peering around at all the
bears. Yeah, unusual number of them, though he didn't know this.
They would likely continue to walk, though Tenish would
obviously be careful enough to give them their space, he didn't
want an uneedded attack.

Jack stared at the many bears, they even past a few walking down
the roads, now that was odd! WHERE WERE THEY!? Soon down the
road, the dirt would stop, and it'd turn into lush grass, but
the path was still cleared between the trees. As if something
walked between the trees and make them bend that way
permanently. As they kept walking down this point, little would
change, the forest got tighter, and the grass got thicker.

No, no, that wasn't strange. He still walked through this
forest at the same pace. The only way he would find this
strange, is if one of them walked up on two legs with a top hat
and monocle, while speaking a british accent claiming themselves
to be the queen of bear and the forest. Now that, THAT would be
weird. He would continue to watch the sides of the road though,
consistently making sure jack was following.

Slowly lumbering through her forest, a massive beast walks with
soft foot steps upon the intensely thick and lush grass. With
each deliberately small stride to allow a few of the bears to
keep up with her, the grass under her massive paws went
uncrushed. In fact, it even seemed to grow all the more thicker
where she stepped, various colors of flowers sprung up in place
where her claws lightly brushed against. The large spirit was in
the shape of a bear, a massive bear at that. By now, it was
impossible to see if she had any brown fur left, most of, if not
all of her body was covered with thick layers of vegetation and
other plant life, causing her to look like various shades of
green, mostly matching well with the colors of the grass and
leafs to be found in the deeper parts of the forest. Moss hangs
off of her in places, upon her chest, neck, sides, nearly
touching the ground, but not quite.
Upon her back was the most spectacular sight though! Flowers
had grown upon her shoulders and along her spine, an odd color
compared to any of the others around any longer. While most of
them around were blue and yellow, these were red and actually
seemed to shine with an unnatural golden glow. The aroma they
gave off was sweet refreshing, rather calming to most creatures.
Various bits of what appear to be tree bark rests behind her
right moss-covered ear, growing out a bit like a leaf-coated
horn. A bright yellow and white bird rests calming upon the
branch as the spirit moves along, watching ahead for the large,
gentle giant. Her eyes were nowhere to be seen, a thin moss
covering over where her eyes might be...
Suddenly the bird resting upon the branch would lift off,
flapping its large wings furiously as it bursts off ahead of the
Forest Spirit, sensing intruders. Though the spirit already knew
of their arrival, she also knew it was good for the bird to
spread his wings once in a long while. Slowly she continues to
slumber along in slow strides, not even turning her head to eye
the three or four young bear cubs that followed after her
contently on their stroll through the forest with her. They
flanked her right side, all close and nearly stumbling over each
other from a silent order as they go to slowly take a turn to
meet with the strangers upon the road here shortly...
The yellow and white bird would easily weave through the upper
bits of the branches to avoid the grass and other plants bellow.
He would continue to fly and swerve until eventually bursting
from the thicket of trees out onto the path the strangers would
be upon, letting out a rather loud squawk. Oddly though, instead
of causing the ringing of ears, it was toned just right to not
to such a thing... but it echoed through the forest. None of the
animals they would see would really be startled by this sound,
it was more of something to get the attention of the massive
werewolf and his companion as the large bird stares down at them
with a brilliant golden gaze.
Urgh. Attempt at a forest spirit 1.

Jack perked up way before the bird burst into their view, he
went low, and started walking on all fours, stalking up side his
brother, the massive werewolf would sniff the air, something big
was on the move.... And the way it felt, he found it to be a
familiar yet different feeling. Suddenly he stopped and jumped a
bit, as the bird flew out and let out the squawk, he stopped,
and stared up at the bird, before looking to his brother.

The angile would stop in his tracks, violet eyes turning to peer
at this bird, staring at it silently, his hand goes to the hilt
of his sword though he doesn't move a muscle, he just stands
there, frozen. If something were to act violently, he was
prepared.

The large bird would slowly lower itself onto the grass, its
long and golden feathers trailing upon the grass without a care.
Carefully it moves forward towards the two with small hops, head
tilted to the side a bit to eye them and get a better look.
Despite the male having pulled out a sword, he seemed threatened
in any way, not even showing a sign of any sort of planning to
attack. But that was alright, everyone had their right to be
suspicious at first.
The large spirit would continue to slowly make her way through
the path leading to the other. Though this one was a bit smaller
than the others, at least for her. With even the slightest touch
of her side or a light brush of her fur, the trees would slowly
move themselves out of the way to allow room for her to walk.
Where she lightly touched the trees, bits of moss grew and
sprouted flowers, leaving them to sit their upon the tree. The
four cubs squabble about around her sides for a few moments
before they all decide it is a wiser idea to hide. They were not
quite old enough to know yet, but that was alright. It always
would be in this spirits old eyes. The cubs move themselves to
walk underneath the massive bear they'd known since birth,
having plenty of room to walk safely, and even swat a bit at the
moss hanging from her.
Slowly the massive bears head would poke around the edge of the
end of the path, the four cubs spotting the large golden yellow
bird and the man and the werewolf. With little fear, the four of
them bolt off out from under her protection and run right
towards the two strangers. The first time they would have seen
anything other than the animals of this forest, the two of them
were now the most interesting things in those little bear's
minds!
Carefully she turns herself as the large spirit walks into the
path of the two travelers, the grass in the area suddenly
growing a great deal greener, the thicket of trees growing
thicker. Flowers would pop up here or there... the already very
alive plants, seem much more alive than possibly thought. She
merely stands there in front of them, not making any sudden
movements aside from a small purple flower suddenly sprouts on
the tip of her nose. It would appear she was attempting to not
startle them to badly, though it was not the werewolf she
worried of, but his companion... Her focus mainly upon him as
the four little brown bear cubs get within tackling range of the
two.
