HCW is a concept spawning from the Video Game "WWE Smackdown
vs. Raw 2007" with it's GM Mode. This spawned a game on
LOPforums.com where using the GM mode, and people selecting a
superstar who they would like to be, would try and best each
other for the championship glory and in the end, try to be the
best.
At the "Great LOPForums Board Reset of '07" the thread was
updated to the 2008 version, and consequently moved to the WWE
Thread from its home in the Entertainment Forum. This is where
it grew from its humble single brand to a double brand
extravaganza. But, the perennial problem with the WWE video
games is their limited number of superstars available. This led
us to find a program with infinite superstars available which
can be pitted against each other. So we found one. This new
game simulator sees EVERY professional wrestler, alive, dead,
signed, or independent, available to be chosen.
Throughout the next 5 years, we were constantly moved all over
the Lords of Pain Forums, and most often with out advance
warning of an impending move. Though we did initially voice our
annoyance, we ultimately accepted every move and inconvenience,
(like not being told where we were moved to and had to hunt the
thread down,) kept our noses clean, minded our own business and
continued the game. We have been subjected to unwarranted
limitations, and harassment and unfounded complaints against us
since the beginning, and as of late we have been ousted from our
original home (Lords of Pain Forums) for an unexplained reason.
When asked about the reasons, the staff and admins there would
only give excuses, but no true reason. So due to being kicked
out of the LOP forums, we carry on at our very own home.
Expansion was bound to happen, although better circumstances
should have prevailed.
So, now that you know our history, that leaves just one
question:
How do you join up?
Joining is Easy. Select your favorite wrestler, and check
their availability. If they are not in the rosters, we need to
find your character for our simulator, or make sure you aren't
requesting an already reserved character. Please Note: Not all
reserves are listed on the Rosters Thread, so please request
your character in the request thread. This is normally just a
formality, but sometimes your character might not be available,
thus, before you debut, we do need to sort this out. Once
cleared, it's as simple as pick out the nearest character in the
IC thread and trash talk their pants off. Or, if you would like
to have a special introduction from the GM or CEO to HCW, for
instance a surprise entrant into a battle royal, or a surprise
opponent for any match, that kind of thing, or even a write up
by the GM or CEO inserting your character into a current
storyline, that can be arranged.
Once you have been booked on a card, the results will be
simmed by pat2007 using the Simulator software. The results will
then be posted by the GMs or the CEOs if they can not.
There will be two brands you can be apart of: "Fusion" and
"Collision," which are looked after by our esteemed Staff. Our
CEO is Thurl (also Forums Webmaster,) as Mick Foley(And the
Faces.) Collision and Fusion are both led by our GMs pat2007
running Colission as Arn Anderson and matthewwinter running
FUSiON as Eric Bischoff. Any member of staff will be more than
happy to answer any questions. Remember, the only stupid
question is the one that DOESN'T get asked.
Please check this thread often as this does change from time to
time.
