Forum Subscription

**Somehow, I missed this announcement:
https://support.createaforum.com/2/changes-to-ad-free-credits-and-ad-free-plans/
For reference, here is the page with the difference in plans:
https://haxnuts.createaforum.com/upgrades.php
We have been on the Ad-free unlimited page views ($14.95, now
$7.99).
Per this announcement, we either are on or will shortly be on
the Unlimited Ultimate plan - but for the same $14.95 price that
we have been paying.
We already have the chatroom installed as a separate add-on.
We would get an extra 150MB of space - currently have been
buying space when needed at the extra GB price.
I am not sure what we would do with the other features, but I am
open to discussing and figuring out if there's any interest for
any of it.**

Is the ultimate plan really the same price, or does it drop to
the $12.99 listed in that announcement?
How much does it cost to buy the extra space as needed?

Good question on the first one, I guess I will go ask.
On the latter, it's $49.00 for a GB. We have done 2, maybe 3 of
them so far. I would have to dig to double check if we did a
3rd. I know we did 2 for sure.

So the extra 150 mB would just delay when we needed to buy more
space? May not really be worth it if that's the only difference
that we'd use. I don't see any of us needing the eCommerce or
classifieds, although the custom smilies might appeal. But
would it appeal enough to justify maintaining the same
cost/month?

Correct, the 150 would just delay it a bit, not worth it in my
opinion but noted it as it is one of the changes (but we'd get
150 not 250 since we already have 100).
On the other one - Re-reading it seems that he might mean that
we automatically convert to the $7.99 plan, and the wording
confused me. I have asked for clarification

I'm not going to vote just yet, as most of it went over my head.
Mainly I just want to keep it ad free and am very happy that
they seem to have found some protection against those annoying
bots.

After getting clarification: Nothing made any sense and I will
be updating the poll options.
It will NOT automatically convert to anything. What he meant was
that IF you have a current subscription, and do nothing, the
price will remain the same.
In order to get the new cheaper price, I need to cancel the
subscription, and sign up again.
Which means (to me) that this question is now: Do we stick with
the $7.99 ad free unlimited, or is there anything in the now
$12.99 more expensive plan that we think might be worth signing
up for that one instead (my general opinion is no, but I don't
make that decision, we all do together).

I vote for no, don't change anything, only because I am
imagining all manner of trouble, maybe losing our old info and
photos, etc.

I had the same concern. Im not sure saving a dollar or two a
year for me personally is worth any risk. But I also dont know
how to judge the risk.

If we go this route would all our stuff remain? That's my only
concern.
Otherwise I don't have an opinion. I don't mind donating for the
cause.
