Luther!!

So for those who are following along at home, we had to say
goodbye to our latest rescue Apache a month ago.
Enter Luther!
He is a combo beagle/blue heeler who is approximately 6 years
old. We will be picking him up this weekend. His rescue mom
says he is ripe for agility training. It will be a great way
for me to get out and meet folks in our area other than just
through knitting/fiber events.
Pictures forthcoming!

I'll be looking forward to seeing the pictures! My SIL has had
blue heelers for years. Great dogs!

So we just got Luther's medical info.
He was picked up as a stray in Tennessee in February.
This is the first dog I will have ever had who is not arriving
with a complete backstory.
I want to get him into training as soon as possible. I'm hoping
he will be ready for agility but I have a feeling we may need a
basic obedience course first to brush up. His rescuer says he's
super smart so I assume maybe he was a failed hunting dog turned
loose?

So Luther is settling in fairly well.
Not a fan of a bath but then again, I haven't had many dogs who
were.
Sleeps like a rock.
No issues with housetraining.
He's a delicate eater which is surprising.
The big issue that we have uncovered is that he is reactive to
anything that moves. Other dogs, people running etc. Going to
have to get in front of that.
