2023 Oscars Watch Party
By: animaniactoo Date: March 10, 2023, 4:39 pm

Hopefully this year the most exciting stuff will be who won and
lost, and what people wore....
Anyways... setting up now for Sunday. Don't forget to set your
clock forward or you'll miss... um, a bunch of fluff in that
first hour.

It was so fun to watch Ke Huy and Jamie Lee win best supporting
actor and actress for their roles in Everything Everywhere
both were so surprised and their speeches really touching.
I am bummed Angela Bassett didnt win though she was so good
as Queen in Wakanda Forever.
I want to see The Fablemans and Avatar. I usually watch all the
big nominee pix before the show but havent seen those two yet.

The Fablemans was cute. Not sure its Oscar worthy but it was a
sweet movie.
I just loved Everything Everywhere so Im thrilled so far.

I haven't seen anything, so I'm mostly just voting for actors I
like.
Love love loved Jamie Lee Curtis' speech.
Thought the being danced off stage if you go over was hilarious.

Also, Kes callout to Chunk was hysterical.

The dance off was my favorite part of the opening monologue!
I also liked the youll have to get thru bit highlighting
various actors characters.
I was surprised Jimmy scolded the audience about last years
slap for not only not doing anything but following it up with
applauding and hugs for re the best actor award. Hes not wrong
but I was surprised he went in so hard on everyone.

Big ball gowns are back. I like them. I also like I cant
remember her name. Pink ball gown. Anyway she said something
about women needing to take up space.

Im glad All Quiet won for intl film. It was a great film even
though the violence was hard to watch.

Geez. Well, I guess making a joke about the Slap Heard Round The
World is their version of "handling it better"?
